Team lists for RES European Masters Spring events finalized

The two online competitions grant the winners spots at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown Europe.

The team lists for the two European BLAST Premier Spring Showdown qualifiers are now complete, with a total of sixteen teams set to do battle across the RES Western European Masters Spring and RES Eastern European Masters Spring events.

The online European competitions will each feature eight teams doing battle for a spot in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. The squads will first be split into two, double-elimination best-of-one groups, with the top two from each group progressing to the playoffs. The playoffs will feature a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket.

Cloud9 will be hoping to build upon their ESL Pro League performance

Cloud9, Eternal Fire, Bad News Eagles and Aurora were the teams who received direct invites to the Eastern European Masters Spring, meaning the event features a strong field of four top-30 squads. For the Western European iteration, it was only GamerLegion and Endpoint who received invites. The rest of the teams across both competitions qualified through regional events or open qualifiers.

Cloud9 will find themselves comfortable favourites to take the Eastern European iteration due to their recent ESL Pro League performance, where they cruised into the playoffs thanks to some superlative performances from Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov.

The other top-30 teams in attendance for the Eastern European Masters are in good form and will serve as fierce competition for Cloud9. Eternal Fire recently won the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals, Bad News Eagles came second in the same competition, and Aurora have won a CCT online event and qualified for the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR so far this year.

G2, 9INE, Apeks, GamerLegion clinch Europe RMR spots

As for the Western European Masters the favourites are less clear, with 9INE and GamerLegion both sporting strong cases for winning the event. Polish squad 9INE have been excellent since adding Olek "hades" Miskiewicz, having won the OMEN WGR Challenge and qualified for the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR. GamerLegion have won the Thunderpick Bitcoin Series 2, placed top-two in CCT West Europe Series 1, and also qualified for the RMR so far this year.

RES Western European Masters Spring is set to take place March 3-5, with the Eastern European Masters slated for March 10-12. Viewers will be able to follow all of the action on the Relog Media Twitch channel.

i don’t know why they wouldn’t try to qualify. they barely play any events as it is. they have a genuine shot in every showdown and blast events would help.

actually I just looked it up and the "RES European Masters EU Open Qualifier" included all eastern european countries but Russia, lol. So no russian players unless playing in an internationa/ukrainian team very odd

saying "whataboutism" does not counter my point you know that right? address it. prove that VP is still owned by a russian oligarch now that they have new ownership in armenia. and i will agree with you what about spirit who has not even disclosed their ownership (def russian) what about forze who openly is sponsored by lukoil with no sanctions? be consistent for once

I am not addressing your point since it is not quite comparable with the argument, addressing a completely different kind of political and ethnical problem. The other things I don't know much about but since I'm not supporting ether of them I honestly don't care. The only point I was making is that you shouldn't blame blast for trying to not support the russian war on the side of the offenders, because blast is trying to do a good thing here.

you made it really easy for me "The other things I don't know much about but since I'm not supporting ether of them I honestly don't care." why even bother talking about it then if you don't know the full picture

But that wasn't point of my discussion and it doesn't change my argument. If we were talking about spirit or forZe, it would make sense that I need to know about them but we were just talking about how it is stupid to blame Blast for boycotting VP for supporting the russian war. You started again with your stupid whataboutism. What about spirit, what about forZe?

Where would you put Lithuania, they are considered North Europe. So they don't fit in West, East or Nordic. and until this year they were not even allowed to play in any qual as they don't fit in any. My guess they put it in weakest region. How is it political?
