One of IHC's stars leaves the Mongolian side less than a month before they compete for a spot at the BLAST.tv Paris Major.

Tengis "⁠sk0R⁠" Batjargal has posted an Instagram story saying: "It was full of good memories and experience but never imagined to end up like this. Leaving is not my decision btw. Goodluck fellas."

The story has been updated.

IHC have announced the departure of sk0R from the team, exactly a year after he signed with the Mongolian side.

His exit comes as a surprise given the team's recent rise to prominence. IHC have recently hit their peak 18th ranking following an impressive run at IEM Katowice, where they placed 9th-12th after eliminating FURIA in the play-in stage and Cloud9 in the groups.

sk0R leaves IHC just three days after the roster deadline for Paris Major RMRs took place

IHC also advanced to the final qualifying stage for the BLAST.tv Paris Major and were the chief favorites to make it through to CS:GO's premier tournament from the Asia Regional Major Ranking tournament.

The Mongolian side has not commented on the future of the roster. Bat-Enkh "⁠kabal⁠" Batbayar took time off earlier this year after becoming a father and has remained on the sidelines since, and Baatarkhuu "⁠Bart4k⁠" Batbold has taken his place on the lineup in the meantime.

The change also comes after IHC recently came under scrutiny after it was reported in early February that founders of their main partner, the 'Inflation Hedging Coin' (IHC) cryptocurrency, had been arrested and face "charges of misappropriating funds" and "laundering income earned by manipulating the market."

The IHC Esports organization released a statement a week later in response, denying the allegations "in the strongest possible terms" and stating that "certain individuals have no involvement with our management and operation."

sk0r's leave came exactly after 1 year with the team. Of course there are lots of assumptions as to how/why this decision came across and what's the next move for IHC and sk0r. But rest assured, I think his contract finished after a year and both sides decided to part ways.
