WCG 2010 in September

The dates for the 2010 edition of the World Cyber Games have been confirmed.

The WCG will return to North America in 2010 for the continent's third event in history, with Los Angeles picked as the hosting city for the famous gaming competition.

Although the WCG committee have yet to comment on the dates for the 2010 edition, the LA's Convention Center's website indicates that it will be held from September 29 through to October 3. This means that this year's event will happen sooner than usual, after the past two editions took place in November.

the main problem is visa.. remember wcg 2007 in seattle? there's some team that couldnt attend because of visa's problem. And as u already know, USA is really strict on this one :(

lol,i guess you didn't even follow last wcg...4glory was in China this year,in group A with Millenium(France),Parallax(New Zealand) and some Singaporean team (can't remember the name)...finished with 2 losses ( -M- and Para) and 1 win (Singapoure)... We don't have talented players,believe me...we only send Newave or 4gl to bigger tournaments,and they don't do anything special... ofc,i would love if Serbian team wins some tournament one day and pushes through the pro scene...

From a player perspective having been to WCG in seattle as well as in Chengdu...the Chengdu event absolutely blew seattle as well any major championship held in America out of the water. The culture in terms of e-sports in Europe and Asia are light years ahead of North America and the amount that the spectators know as well as the numbers they come out in are pretty amazing.

but imo for the event atmosphere, im still amazed by the chengdu spectators. Just seeing on YT makes me thrill to think if i were also there. Just how many people did attend the final between Again vs fnatic. And the venue seems glamourous to me, a perfect atmosphere for an e-sports olympics :)
