mibr lose SteelSeries sponsorship

HLTV.org understands that Made in Brazil have lost the support of one of their main partners, SteelSeries.

The Brazilian organisation have been without a Counter-Strike team since releasing their squad in late November following a string of disappointing results.

Made in Brazil have persistently been linked with a move for FireGamers, who, however, are believed to have rejected the offer to switch organisations after mibr owner Paulo Velloso decided against funding the team's trip to Canada, where they were due to compete in the Extreme Masters American Continental Finals.

SteelSeries' logo has been removed from mibr's website, which indicates that their longtime partnership has come to an end. It is believed that the Danish-based company had no interest in providing support to an organisation that have not had a team in three months and appear to have nothing lined up.

Things appear to be going from bad to worse for the 2006 ESWC champions, who currently have just two sponsors, Salvaterra Organica and VCs1.

well i mean if they are under contract and are getting a significant amount of money they can do whatever they want. im not saying it's right but the players could have backed out of the contract.

I do not understand why do you people say "bad", "oh so bad", etc regarding to teams losing their sponsorship. Sorry it's what is happened/happening in HAITI.

Honestly speaking, you should not compare this with Haiti. In terms of esports it is bad to loose an important sponsor.

In all honesty I think it's good that mibr lost this sponsorship. They weren't producing any results, nor running their organization professionaly recently. It's a good message sent by SteelSeries. Makes organizations work harder to get a sponsorship, meaning higher quality organizations. Nothing wrong with stronger competition. This will actually help move e-sports forward :D
