peacemaker departs TeamOne after two months

The Brazilian coach departs on the eve of the team's participation in the BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR.

Luis "⁠peacemaker⁠" Tadeu is no longer the coach of TeamOne, with his departure coming a day before the team are due to compete at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR. The 34-year-old will not be present during the event and instead Alexandre "⁠kakaveL⁠" Peres, the organization's CEO, will serve as the team's coach. It is unclear if he will be able to stand behind the team as he is not listed as their coach according to the lineups released by BLAST ahead of the RMRs.

Via his Twitter account, peacemaker revealed he had left the team as of March 27 and was not part of their RMR preparations. He also stated he is a free agent.

TeamOne only announced the signing of peacemaker as their coach in early February, his first coaching role since he parted ways with Imperial last August. During his time with the squad they finished 5-6th in ESL Challenger League Season 43, narrowly missed out on a spot at IEM Dallas, and successfully navigated the closed qualifier for the upcoming Americas RMR.

peacemaker has been something of a journeyman throughout his career, having spent stints coaching North American, South American, and European teams; he even had a short spell working with TYLOO in 2017. His most significant achievement in coaching came during his time with Liquid in 2016, when the North American squad took second place at the ESL One Cologne 2016 Major, doing so with a lineup that included Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev.

Searching for a new coach will be a familiar task for TeamOne, as they have had five different coaches since 2022. During that time the team has failed to make headway in international competition, their only showing being a last-place finish at ESL Challenger Rotterdam, however they have experienced a reasonable amount of success domestically, such as taking third place in the ESL Challenger League Season 43 and placing top-four at Fragadelphia 16 and 17.
