The day ends with yur eliminated
07:10 - Striker
Nouns survived their first elimination series and sent yur packing to end the second day at the Americas RMR. Round three matchups are incoming.
Another one bites the dust
06:18 - Striker
Solid bow out of the tournament after a 1-2 loss to Paquetá, joining fellow Brazilians 00NATION and TeamOne in the eliminated pile.
Carnage on the second stream covering the Nouns-yur match, which went dark for a while and came back with casters taken by surprise by the fact that the broadcast actually works.
The final series of the day head to deciding maps
05:23 - Striker
yur tie up the match against Nouns with a comeback from 12-14 on Mirage. Paquetá and Solid are also heading into map three after Gustavo "yel" Knittel's team won Overpass.
Nouns, Solid score wins to open up series
04:26 - Nohte
The final matches of day two are underway, and Solid and Nouns have secured map wins to go up 1-0 in their series against Paquetá and yur.
Solid raced to a 10-5 lead on Inferno in the all-Brazilian brawl, but struggled to close out the map. A resurgent effort from Paquetá saw the team recover and gain the upper hand at 14-11 before Solid finally managed to consistently halt their countrymen's bombsite attacks, winning the map 16-14.
For Nouns, it was David "cynic" Polster and Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado who led the way in an 11-4 halftime scoreline on Inferno before the team secured victory, 16-11.
Paquetá have a chance to get back into the series as they now do battle on their pick of Overpass, while yur are facing an uphill climb as they head to their opponent's pick of Mirage.
MIBR close it out in two
02:21 - Sumljiv
Felipe "insani" Yuji got his team over the line on Ancient with 35 kills, 125 ADR, and a 1.94 rating. On the other side of the server, this is the end of the road for 00NATION, who exit the tournament with a 0-2 record.
Penultimate series of the day set to start
01:56 - Sumljiv
Due to the quick nature of Imperial's win, the North American matchup between Nouns and yur is set to start more than two hours ahead of schedule. The veto has been announced, with the game starting on yur's map pick, Inferno.
00NATION show signs of life
01:51 - Sumljiv
A resurgent 00NATION won the first half of Ancient with a 9-6 scoreline, a feat made even more impressive by the fact they went 0-3 down. Can they force out the third map of Inferno?
They did it!
01:34 - Sumljiv
After a flawless offense, Imperial won the second-half pistol with the help of Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo's quad-kill to secure a 16-0 victory. They keep their Major dream alive with the win, while TeamOne become the first eliminated team of the Americas RMR.
16-0?
01:15 - Sumljiv
We haven't had a 16-0 at the RMRs yet — is this the time? Imperial lead TeamOne 10-0 on the Overpass offense.
MIBR come close to matching Imperial's win
01:04 - Sumljiv
MIBR allowed their opponents just one more round than Imperial, ending up 16-4 winners on their map pick of Anubis. 00NATION were no match for MIBR's hard-hitting individuals led by Matheus "Tuurtle" Anhaia, who put up a 1.68 rated performance.
Imperial win Mirage in dominant fashion
00:40 - Sumljiv
Imperial never looked troubled on Mirage and ran out 16-3 winners. On the B stream, MIBR seem to be giving 00NATION a similar treatment and are currently 10-1 up on the CT side of Anubis.
Battle of the veterans
00:21 - Sumljiv
The Imperial vs. TeamOne game features a unique showdown between the two oldest players in the tournament. Pedro "Maluk3" Campos, who is 33 years old, will face off against Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, two years his junior.
Next up are two all-Brazilian elimination matches
00:01 - Sumljiv
As the tournament reaches the elimination best-of-three stage, four Brazilian teams join the server. FalleN's Imperial will face off against TeamOne, with Marcelo "coldzera" David's 00NATION meeting MIBR.
felps steps up in the final round!
23:40 - Sumljiv
In the final round of regulation, João "felps" Vasconcellos delivered a crucial quad-kill to secure Fluxo a 16-14 victory.
Two more Brazilian teams join 2-0 pool
23:33 - Sumljiv
The best-of-one matches at the Americas RMR have come to a close, with paiN and Fluxo continuing their winning runs.
paiN got their revenge over Complexity after they recently lost to them at IEM Rio 2023 North America Closed Qualifier, while Fluxo were made to work for a 16-14 victory against BESTIA.
Complexity vs. paiN, BESTIA vs. Fluxo next
22:37 - Striker
Fun fact: This Complexity core has never lost to this paiN core across four matches dating back a year and a half. The Brazilians have been in their best form ever, though, recently hitting their peak 15th ranking.
FURIA get it over the line, 16-13 vs. EG
22:11 - Striker
"The main thing we need to understand is not to gain false confidence"

What a 1v3 from Brehze!
22:06 - Striker
Upset warning: EG lead FURIA
21:57 - Striker
A halfbuy win from FURIA might have come at just the right moment as Evil Geniuses were starting to get away with the second half.
BLAST has adjusted the HUD based on some of the criticism
21:35 - Striker
Money and kill-death score are now displayed at all times and the kill feed font has been changed from the somewhat difficult to read italics. Check out the changes:
We're live with both matches
21:23 - Striker
And it's Mirage and Mirage. Evil Geniuses lead FURIA and Flamengo got off the line first against Liquid to start.
The matches postponed from day one are about to go live
21:08 - Striker
After the first day of play in Monterrey, Mexico, was filled with power issues and caused the second round of matches to be postponed, day two is now upon us.
The 1-0 pool matches of the Swiss group will kick off the second round before we get into the first elimination games of the Americas RMR in the 0-1 pool. Remember, due to there being only five Paris Major spots up for grabs in the region, only the teams with 3-0 and 3-1 records will secure Major qualification.
