H2k unveil new team

H2k Gaming have officially announced their new Counter-Strike squad.

The new H2k team is almost similar to the one HLTV.org brought to you first hand on Thursday, the only difference being that Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson will remain on the team, with Andreas "moddiii" Fridh the one to be left out in the cold.

HLTV.org understands that despite Karlsson's wish to depart the team for Meet Your Makers, H2k's determination to hang onto their prized asset, and the fact MYM did not wish to pay a transfer fee for the player, ruled out the possibility of an exit.

The two new faces at H2k Gaming are, as such, ex-fnatic duo Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund and Rasmus "GuX" Ståhl. While the former has been inactive since August, when he was released from SK, Ståhl has been without a team following his departure from fnatic earlier this month.

"After some problems in the team me and snajdan sat down and really thought of our situation. Both he and I agreed that we would pick up new players to the team who have a lot of motivation," Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed told H2k-Gaming's website.

"We immediately contacted Gux and Tentpole because I know both of them miss competing. We will play with this lineup on IOL. We'll see what happens after the IOL."

The new H2k team, who will have their official debut at the IOL Finals later this month, look as follows:

Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson
Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund

Yes I do, do you even know how successful they were with giants? They were able to beat SK, fnatic etc. constantly and they won some events too. He played with gtr, khrystal, face and qp if you didn't know. So yes, it would be dumb not to compare.

I think this h2k team will be as "new" was fnatic with the 2 new acquisitions back in the 2009 with gux and gtr. This seems to be for me like a deja vu, in my opinion the new h2k team in the future they will be as strong and powerfull as fnatic was in 2009 or maybe better. Hope so... Good luck h2k.

Really like the look of the line up on paper. With FYRR73 they have a clear cut awp player. Also Most of the players have played with each other before so that helps. I wonder who MYM will pick up now ... qp? fury? floreNz? hibb? I don't see one person who just sticks out. Unless they take someone away from begrip or take back moddiii and hope this whole 'no one really wants to play with him' experience made him grow up a bit... bleh

better w/o moddiii imo, he's an amazing player but now spawn won't need to be their awper and with moddiii in the lineup, spawn was the only decent awper.. gl snajdan, tent, and gux and btw, gux is legend for the fact that fnatic won nearly every event they attended, and he was a big part of that..not to mention he has more titles in one year than most of the so called "experts" and where will moddiii go now? considering zyppe just went back to begrip in place of him..

that move just put them top 5 world probably and and on atleast equal footing in atleast skill lvl with sk and fnatic for a change.. lets hope they find some chemistry and they wont have players quiting after 3 months coz of "rl" .

Guys, you are right, lineup is amazing. But i'm not sure at all that this will work out. Of course, each player is able to win round by himself and they are all very good players, however the most important thing in counter-strike is an atmosphere. If they will like each oteher, and have good time i think that team is able to get into top5 in a world.

Kinda sad that FYRR73 stayed in H2k, he really looked good with the guys from MYM. As I said before, H2k is making line up changes all the time, this is like the 4th in 5,6 months.. They may have top players, but they have far too little time to make a good team chemistry, like again has, or shall I say had before adding pasha.. True, this is a strong team, but don't expect good result right away.. If they keep this team until, per say, WCG, they could be dominating the CS scene for the time to come. But, as it seems so far, they will make changes again, very soon

Why are so many idiots questioning why gux is playing if he 'left fnatic for school/family commitments'? It quite clearly said on fnatic that he was replaced by the team as he didn't get along with them too well anymore as they had grew apart. Great lineup h2k. Tentpole/gux are two of the best players in the world, snajdan is an amazing leader and player, spawn is always good and has been in great form recently, and fyrr is awesome too great awp and pretty underrated player. lot's of shity comments.. h2k seems to be a great team because of the names that make up a the team.. the names, whom had been simply overrated, especially spawn, snaj and tent. Gux ..indeed..yeah he's a "mad fragger" but he is also brainless and CS in the way that has evolved is a mind game not just a skill game. my opinion they will not get very soon to the high expectations that everyone has about their game.
