insani: "The first loss that we got was a slap in our face"
Felipe "insani" Yuji spoke to HLTV after MIBR eliminated BESTIA from the Americas RMR.
MIBR have kept their dreams of making it to the BLAST.tv Paris Major alive by defeating BESTIA in their 1-1 matchup at the Americas RMR. The Brazilian lineup got off to a shaky start at the tournament in Monterrey, Mexico, faltering in double overtime to Flamengo in their opening match, but have since recovered by defeating 00NATION 2-0 and BESTIA 2-1 to make it to the final round of qualifying matches.

HLTV spoke to MIBR's breakout star rifler insani after the match for some insight into how the tournament has gone from his side, how the team felt coming into the tournament, and his own personal experience since making the step up to the main lineup from the academy roster.
You're now 2-1 at the Americas RMR. It started rocky for you with your first loss here to Flamengo, you beat 00NATION and now you've beat BESTIA. How do you feel about your first loss and the two games after that?
The first loss that we got was a slap in our face, that we could play better and show a better CS than we showed against Flamengo. Ever since that game we are playing very good, we are communicating and adapting our game, so we are playing really well. I am happy for us.
Coming into the event you had a lot of really good results domestically in North America. Did that add pressure coming into this event because you'd been playing so well, and now going up against teams like Liquid and FURIA who'd had a little more international experience?
I think those games just boosted our confidence, [at least] me personally. Before this tournament we came from a bootcamp in Europe, so we were really confident about our games.
You individually impressed a lot in Katowice, but went out in Pro League early. What happened between those two tournaments that the results got more shaky?
I think that we are in a moment that our team is getting mature, you know? We are getting experience because we are a new team, so we need to live more, have more time to get things along, to adapt.
How has it been for you, taking the step up from the academy lineup and hitting the ground running in this team, performing pretty well against top teams?
It was a really great feeling because I had an opportunity that maybe 1-3 people get, so it was a lifetime opportunity and I took it like it was my life. It's very good for me.
What has it been like with the experience of some of the players around you, obviously BIT has a lot of experience as your coach, you also have players like HEN1 who have been playing around the international scene for longer, what it been like having that support?
Personally, getting to the main team of MIBR is like a dream coming true because I'm playing with players that I've been watching my entire life, so it's an honor to play with them and alongside them. That's it, I'm happy.
You're now 2-1, do-or-die matchup tomorrow. How do you feel about your prospects going into that last game, where everything is on the line, your chances of making the Major?
We're going into that match like it's all in. We are hyped, we are confident, and we are going to that match thinking we are going to do what we do best. That's it, the job's not done, and we will only stop when it's done.
