Liquid qualify for BLAST Paris Major; FURIA through to Legends stage

Liquid came out on top of a three-map series to claim the final Major spot from the Americas RMR.

Liquid survived a scare at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR after Nouns managed to take the final qualifying series to all three maps. Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella's men started the series off on the right foot with a 16-11 win on Inferno, but suffered a loss in overtime on their own pick of Ancient before recovering on the Nuke decider, 16-9, to book their ticket to Paris.

Meanwhile, FURIA secured a spot in the Legends stage of the Major after emerging victorious from the first-place decider match against paiN, losing their own pick of Overpass before reverse-sweeping the series with wins on Vertigo and Mirage.

Liquid made it through to the Paris Major

Liquid entered the RMR with victories over 00NATION and Flamengo, but faltered in a close series against FURIA in the 2-0 matchup to miss out on securing an early spot at the Paris Major.

The No. 6-ranked team in the world's second attempt to qualify for the Major was against a fellow North American team that has much less international experience, and it ended up closer than it should have as Liquid's Ancient pick backfired.

However, the team still managed to close out the series in the end, and with the Americas RMR at an end, join the following rosters on the list of Paris Major attendees:

Unfortunately I highly doubt they’ll last for so long. The team could be without org support very soon btw. But they did nice and I hope they keep together

I think liquid col and pain are teams capable of making to the legend stage, we need those spots, for rhe americas, we brazilians will cheer for liquid and col aswell

Tbf the eu rmr didn't look super tight. Fnatic and itb as legends. Og with niko. Faze on last chance. Bne better but I doubt they will make it the playoffs. Pain, furia can go to the playoffs. Liquid should in theory make it to the legends stage and playoffs, but they need a big reality check, their map pool and their t side are so weak rn. Col is a loose cannon. They can upset almost any teams but any teams can upset them imo.

Pain is definitely playing way better than they used to but I still wouldn't put their playoffs odds above Liquid's.

Hum idk. Pain is a bit on honeymoon and teams didn't look much at them, but firepower wise, they look solid. Liquid mentality is still kinda shaky. Also, they have a 2018 meta t side atm. Their mirage pick is getting too much previsible. Their Ancient is 50-50 Anubis, they don't pick it anymore. Nuke, they look more confortable. Vertigo, I guess they will pick it someday. Overpass, it is their t side.

I dont think those things should describe body language. Also cant make big things happen if someone or few of teammates act like they have sand in the pssy. Yekindar and Elige lately looks like that.

Haha I like the expression. Both are acting like diva. Yekjndar : I build the system, i want all the fame, but if the team fell, let's blame others. Elige : it is hard to be in eu. Go in na between events. Also : both yekindar and jame are kinda narcissist. I dont doubt their talents at all l, but jame comment on kairon just after their lost was really egocentric.

I think it's probably bad that Furia made Legends, they really need more reps in and going through challenger stage is a great place for them to do so.
