Monte one win away from BLAST Paris Major
Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas has been in immense form and has powered his squad to two wins at the RMR.
After securing a convincing 16-9 win on Mirage over Cloud9, underdogs Monte are now within touching distance of a BLAST Paris Major berth.
It was a superlative performance from BOROS that got the heavy lifting done against Cloud9, the Jordanian rifler managing to outdo Abay "HObbit" Khassenov who was keeping Cloud9 in the game. BOROS was also Monte's best performer in the first game against ENCE, where the majorly-Ukrainian team took the 16-11 win following a lockdown CT half.

Monte have been making waves in the tier two scene in 2023, winning four online tournaments so far this year: ESL Challenger League, European Pro League, CCT West Europe Series 2 and CCT Central Europe Series 5. The upsets against Cloud9 and ENCE, ranked within the top 10, show that Monte's online form has successfully translated to LAN. However, after the initial BO1 wins, Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev and co. will be exclusively playing BO3s moving forward.
The majority-Ukrainian lineup can now look towards a qualification series tomorrow, and so far HEROIC are the only team that sit alongside them in the 2-0 pool, with their opponent yet to be decided.
