Aurora eliminate Eternal Fire from Europe RMR after marathon series
Eternal Fire end their RMR run in 12-14th place after falling short in a four-and-a-half bout versus Aurora.
Aurora have eliminated Eternal Fire from the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR B after beating the Turks in a hard-fought and scrappy three-map affair, one which concluded close to four-and-a-half hours after it started.
The Turkish lineup posted a 1-3 record in Copenhagen, picking up a win versus Astralis (16-7) and conceding losses to Ninjas in Pyjamas (11-16) and Cloud9 (16-19) to set up the elimination matchup versus Aurora.

The series was a fight-to-the-death affair, with Aurora narrowly prevailing in a trip to overtime on Mirage to get a leg-up in the series and secure their map pick, 19-15.
Eternal Fire responded on Anubis, recovering from a 5-11 deficit on the Egypt-inspired map to ultimately prevail 16-12. It was Ömer "imoRR" Karataş who came alive and secured an equalizer for his team, with the Turkish marksman putting up a 29-16 and 1.73-rated performance on the equalizer.
Inferno, the decider, was as hotly-contested as Mirage, with the two teams again being forced to settle their dispute outside of regulation. Much like the series opener, though, it was the Russians who came out on top, 19-16. Aleksandr "KENSI" Gurkin finished the map atop the scoreboard, sitting on 35 kills and 108 ADR, by far the key reason his side was able to stave off elimination.
The Turks will undoubtedly be massively frustrated by the loss. They twice sent the series to overtime — once on Mirage and once on Inferno — but were unable to get the job done either time. The squad also let a lot of rounds slip away throughout the series, with there being numerous instances of the team lacking a kit and losing rounds despite having the funds to afford one.
