IEM Rio playoff bracket set

An IEM Rio Major semi-final rematch between HEROIC and FURIA headlines the quarter-finals of the 2023 edition of the tournament.

The playoffs bracket at IEM Rio has been decided following the conclusion of the group stage, which saw HEROIC and Vitality round out the quarter-finalists and Cloud9 and Natus Vincere advance straight to the semi-finals on day three of the tournament.

Action will return on Friday with the quarter-finals of the $250,000 tournament. Vitality and BIG will take the stage first in a rematch from last week's affair between the two teams at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR, in which Vitality prevailed 2-1.

For the second time in less than six months, HEROIC will play against the hometown favorites FURIA inside the Jeunesse Arena. Last time around, the Danish squad silenced the Brazilian fans as they ended FURIA's Cinderella run in the IEM Rio Major semi-finals in November.

In the semi-finals played on Saturday, Cloud9 awaits on the side of the bracket featuring Vitality and BIG after winning Group B. Natus Vincere sit on the other end in the second semi-final as the Group A winners, potentially setting us up another Major playoff rematch should FURIA move on.
