siuhy on beating ex MOUZ mates: "It hurts a lot to see my close friends struggle"
The GamerLegion captain spoke about eliminating his former MOUZ NXT teammates from the Major.
GamerLegion have kept their BLAST.tv Paris Major hopes alive after seeing to the elimination of MOUZ in the Challengers Stage, redeeming themselves from a shaky performance on day one of the event by picking up relatively simple victories on Mirage and Overpass to join the 1-2 pool.

HLTV had a quick word with Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek after the game, with the player discussing his team's slow start to the tournament and how they've bounced back against MOUZ. He also touched on his feelings about eliminating his former MOUZ NXT teammates from the Major, a necessary evil in keeping GamerLegion's own tournament run alive.
Much better showing than yesterday for you, it was rough with a loss to TheMongolz as well. How did it feel to bounce back once you hit the best-of-threes today?
It feels amazing. On the first day we just weren't ourselves, today it was a contrast of what happened yesterday and as a team, we just showed up, as individuals we were all ready, and we just showed up as a completely different team. I'm happy that we're able to reset into another day.
What helped you show up today versus yesterday, what's the main difference?
I think it was all about the mental. Maybe we were just not ready yesterday, maybe that was it, and today like I said it was completely different. So we reset mentally, we prepared differently maybe, and we just stuck to our routines and made sure that we came in confident.
Two Infernos yesterday, you banned Inferno today. Was that because of your performances yesterday, or was that a veto specifically for MOUZ?
I think it goes for every team, playing three maps in a row in officials is just not healthy, so we decided to avoid that mistake and just carried on to different maps. We knew it would be difficult without it because Inferno is a good map for us, but like I said even though we didn't show up yesterday we just didn't want to risk it today.
You're a previous MOUZ academy player, playing against former teammates JDC, torzsi, sycrone as well. How did it feel to knock them out? I know you mentioned a second ago that you turn your mind off once you actually hit the game, but can you tell me about the feelings now?
It definitely hurts me to see my really close friends, probably my best friends, to struggle and to see them sad. It hurts a lot. But like I said before the game and after the game, it's all respect, as soon as you join the server you just have to go for the win no matter what it is. I have huge respect for them and I wish them nothing but the best.
2-0 this game, second map was pretty dominant as well. Does that instill some confidence going into tomorrow?
Yeah I think now we showed as an example to ourselves of how we should be approaching every game: with confidence, great preparation, and with a completely clear mindset, not like yesterday where we weren't ready for each other.
