G2 vs. FURIA elimination series headlines Legends Stage round 3 matches
FaZe will face off against 9INE in the other elimination match, and the second day will also see four teams play for a place in the playoffs.
The third round of matches at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Legends Stage have been set following the conclusion of round two, which saw G2, FURIA, and FaZe all be sent down to the do-or-die 0-2 pool in Paris.
The third round of play will see a mixture of best-of-ones and best-of-threes, with a tantalizing duel between G2 and FURIA undoubtedly being the highlight.
The European roster and Brazilian outfit have been cast straight down to elimination territory after a disastrous first day, one which saw G2 let a 10-5 lead to Bad News Eagles slip and FURIA be unable to post a single T-side round in two maps. Both sides will need to bring their A-game if they wish to fight on in France.

The other must-win matchup of the third round is between FaZe and 9INE, with Finn "karrigan" Andersen's men a loss away from an early exit after suffering a 12-16 upset loss to Into the Breach in the 0-1 pool. Conversely 9INE, who completed a Cinderella run at the Europe RMR to earn a Legends Stage berth, have struggled to enjoy a hot start with losses to Liquid and GamerLegion, and now require a win over FaZe to keep their fairy tale run going any longer.
HEROIC and Liquid will lock horns in the 2-0 pool, both sides eager to earn an early berth to the playoffs after putting up flawless records on day one. The North American roster was bolstered by a world-class performance from Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis, and will undoubtedly need their Latvian star to step-up once more if they're to take the Danes — one of the tournament favorites — in a best-of-three setting.
Vitality could earn their organization — Dan "apEX" Madesclaire and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut — an appearance in front of their home crowd should they move past Monte in their 2-0 affair. The best-of-three will be a rematch of the two teams' meetings at the RMR in Denmark, where the Franco-Danish-Israeli mix got the better of Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev's troops in a hard-fought 2-0 battle to earn a Legends Stage berth.
The most intriguing matchup of the 1-1 pool comes in the form of Natus Vincere and Ninjas in Pyjamas, who enter the server for the second time in a month after last meeting at IEM Rio in April. The Nordic mix kept things close, but ultimately faltered at the hands of Denis "electroNic" Sharipov's squad, and will now look to get revenge to avoid being cast down to the 1-2 pool, where fears of a Major exit become ever more extreme.
