fnatic qualify for Gamers8 2023
The European squad cruised through the open qualifier undefeated.
The first European open qualifier for Gamers8 2023 came to an end on Thursday as fnatic defeated Looking4Org 2-0 in the final. William "mezii" Merriman's squad will join the likes of Vitality, G2, and HEROIC in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to compete for the lion's share of a $1,000,000 prize pool.

fnatic defeated Sprout, GTZ, 500, and Looking4Org on their way to the top of the online qualifier without dropping a single map in the process. The qualifiers were played in a single-elimination, best-of-one format with a best-of-three final to decide the advancing team.
The French squad featuring Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss took down several big scalps in the bracket, including 9INE and Astralis, but struggled to bring the same level of competition in the final.
Gamers8 will be produced by the ESL FACEIT Group and is set to go live between August 14-20, hosting 10 of the top-15 ranked squads currently listed in the HLTV rankings.

Three more teams will secure their attendance at the event as the organizers are set to announce two more invites while the teams that failed in the online bracket will get one more chance in the second qualifier will take place between July 11-12.
