XTQZZZ looking for new opportunities

The French skipper states he is ready to return to his post as a coach after departing G2 back in October.

Rémy "⁠XTQZZZ⁠" Quoniam is ready to return to his former position and take the reins as a coach, the Frenchman has announced, with a focus on developing up-and-coming talent moving forward.

His decision to stand behind a team once more comes almost six months after his departure from G2. The 34-year-old exited the organization back in October following the side's failure to qualify for the IEM Rio Major, bringing an end to a brief 10-month stint with the European roster.

Before his tenure with Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač and company, however, XTQZZZ was an integral piece of Vitality's early French days. The 34-year-old linked up with the Bees shortly after their entry into Counter-Strike back in 2018, where he stayed — and helped lift six trophies — until the side opted to make their international pivot in 2022.

XTQZZZ returned to help Vitality for much of 2023, though, with a now-deleted tweet from Fabien "Neo" Devide thanking the coach for assisting Danny "⁠zonic⁠" Sørensen and Mathieu "⁠MaT⁠" Leber since early January and the coach himself confirming as much in his announcement.

With Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire and company recently going on to win the Major on home soil, the skipper's impact with the team appears to have paid off. He now looks to explore the market in an attempt to return to a coaching gig full-time ahead of Counter-Strike 2's release in the summer.

"After taking a 6-month break from coaching, I want to continue my career," the Frenchman began in his announcement, which was posted in both English and French. "When I left G2 Esports, it was very important for me to take care of my family and myself. This was the most important after the birth of our second child and the problems that followed. Now that all that is managed and behind us, it is time to go back to the fight.

"I have received some interesting offers since October and I would like to thank these clubs, unfortunately it was not the right timing and I wanted to keep the course we had set. I had the chance to work with great players, great people but also young people in the making and my wish is to continue it.
I would like to thank once again all the people who have supported me for years in joy and in misfortune."
