Valve release Paris Major champions stickers

The in-game capsules are now available to the public, 11 days after Vitality made history in France.

Valve has released the Champions Autograph sticker capsule for the BLAST.tv Paris Major, allowing people to deck out their guns with the signatures of the five Vitality players who became Major champions: Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut, Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen, Emil "⁠Magisk⁠" Reif, and Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi.

The capsule's release comes alongside a congratulatory message from the game developers, where they paid tribute to Vitality's flawless run en route to the trophy.

Vitality defeated GamerLegion 2-0 to secure the Paris Major silverware

The sticker capsule, which is available to purchase in-game for $0.99, features the five players' autographs in four different styles in increasing rarity: paper, glitter, holo, and gold. Vitality will earn 50% of the proceeds from the sticker sale, following the trend of previous Majors.

There are four sets of five stickers available to be unboxed

It is worth noting that Valve was particularly late with the stickers' release, with it now being 11 days since apEX and company lifted the trophy in Paris.

For comparison, the Champions Autograph capsules were released three days after Outsiders triumphed at the IEM Rio Major in November, whilst FaZe's commemoratory stickers were available just two days after their win at the PGL Antwerp Major in May 2022.

Unlike 99.99 percent of NFTs you can actually use items in CS, and they aren't just links either. Only part that is similar is that they are virtual, but that is like saying a game is the same like a desktop background

NFTs are just csgo skins without the backing, ecosystem, use, or meaning. Any NFT based game is doomed to fail because the game has to come first, otherwise your items will have no value. Ontop of that, theyd need a proper ecosystem to thrive in. Even if noone tried to sell skins by third party, theres always the steam community market where you can sell them and buy other products or items from steam.
