Entropiq set out to build new international contender: "We understand what it takes to get to a Major"

Entropiq's Chief Gaming Officer is determined to bring the Czech organization back on the Major stage.

Entropiq was once a force to be reckoned with, but now its neon green logo is nowhere to be seen as far as international competition is concerned.

From 2021-2022 the Czech organization fielded the Russian roster with coach Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov at the helm and Aleksei "El1an" Gusev and Igor "Forester" Bezotecheskiy as the stars, which consistently competed in the top 20, made it to PGL Major Stockholm, and placed second at V4 Future Sports Festival.

The Russian team stayed competitive for some time after their two big successes but eventually dwindled away as they were unable to qualify for the next two Majors. Since then, the organization's attempts to enrich its local roster with international talent have failed to bear fruit.

Entropiq aim to build a roster that would bring the organization back to the heights of Forester and company

On Monday Entropiq transfer-listed its latest lineup, which featured former Virtus.pro and AGO sniper Michał "snatchie" Rudzki, veteran coach Mariusz "Loord" Cybulski, and a mix of lower-tier talent in Filip "AJTT" Dolenský, Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen, Christoph "red" Hinrichs, and Richard "ritchiEE" Mestdagh.

Entropiq's Chief Gaming Officer, Pavel Klaban, tells HLTV that the organization is now prepared to invest again to build out a new international contender that would bring the organization back onto the Major stage.

"It is undeniable that our most successful division was a team around Dmitriy "hooch" Bogdanov," the chief says. "It was the team that brought many successes to the club, including a Major participation. This is the level where we want to be in Counter-Strike 2."

"We understand what it takes to get to a Major and we understand what finances we have to prepare in order to get there, even in today's difficult esports times. I am certain that one day our club will be competing again against the best teams in the world and I am determined to make that our reality."

With the next Major, PGL Copenhagen, almost nine months away, there is time for Entropiq to work towards that goal. The first step now entails a search for new leadership of the division, someone with expertise to match the organization's high ambitions and to help it build out a brand new international contender.

it does because NAVI is a big org with resources and deep history and a goat player who many kids in the scene worship every night. They also have a team of sports psychologists, analysts behind the scenes. Party Astronauts players have part-time jobs likely, and like... hang out with fl0m

the ultimate goal of every team should be to win it, I agree it should not be "whatever it takes" but it is in fact the final goal.

Fyi that's not exactly what they did. They had the russian roster and a czech roster to play in domestic tournaments. They released the russian one and kept the czech one, which eventually evolved into the red and snatchie one

And every roster they ever sign will be a mix, unless they stop making drastic changes every 2 months if the team hasn't won a major since the last roster change

Lol yeah, mix teams are going to be way more common from now on after these orgs saw the success itb, gl and apeks had at the last major

no what i meant is that since their dumbass management or whoever's in charge of that stuff keeps making drastic changes every two months, all of their rosters are mixes by definition

I get what you're saying, but idk if they're actually expecting to qualify for majors with a roster like this. If u want majors u need actual good players or just go to another region. But yeah this roster was a mistake by their management

I know what you mean, because they "announced" they became an organisation last August. However I think that post was both blown out of proportion and lost in translation as it was mainly them looking for partnerships and sponsorships around then. Reading between the lines, they are still looking for an organisation, I don't understand why these tweets would exist otherwise. twitter.com/BanKsEsports/status/15788465.. twitter.com/BanKsEsports/status/16683735.. twitter.com/BanKsEsports/status/16678868..
