The former Liquid star joins the team to replace Justin "⁠FaNg⁠" Coakley.

Complexity has announced the signing of Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski to the roster and the placing of FaNg on the transfer list.

The news follows Liquid's decision to shift towards a European core and remove EliGE from the active roster in the process. His official departure from the team now marks an official end to the longest-ever tenure of a player in one organization, which lasted for over eight years.

EliGE's record eight-year tenure with Liquid is at an end

Rumors have been swirling around the 25-year-old for the past few weeks as it became clear that he was looking for a new home amidst the changes in Liquid.

EliGE reportedly initially declined Complexity while his move to Evil Geniuses was in the works, until last-minute turnaround saw Evil Geniuses decide against making a number of high-profile signings to move to a European-majority roster.

In Complexity, EliGE reunites with former Liquid teammate Michael "⁠Grim⁠" Wince, who has become a key performer for the team. With the addition of an Intel Grand Slam and six-time Big Event winner, the team is adding a wealth of experience as well as much-needed firepower to the roster.

FaNg is on the way out of the door following an underwhelming period in Complexity in the past few months, which saw the team win just over a third of their matches facing off against top 50 opposition and the Canadian rifler average a 0.95 rating in them.

In a Tweet, the Dallas-based organization thanked the 21-year-old for his commitment and said it would look to find him a new home.

Who would you put? There arent many awpers/igl out there in the market. Also you have to consider nationality. They need 3 NA players to keep their NA spot. I think there other ways to keep the spot, but not really sure of the ruling (like some brasilian teams).

Honestly JT’s leadership seems pretty solid to me.. with a lack of fire power they still delivered a lot of times. With the right players JT can still lead this team imo

Personally for me he is the lack of firepower (especially now), and his calls are not good enough to make up for it. I'm not sure if its because the coach and him are very similar is styles or what but they seem extremely plain with no depth to the calls.

I mean as a leader his fire power is pretty normal. I was thinking players like fang and hallzerk were not doing a good enough job in their roles. I would like to see hallzerk replaced. But the fact that they have beaten some pretty good competition with these players must say something about the strats.

The problem i have with this is simple. Elige is not bad enough (yet) to end up in this roster. JT is trash stat wise for years, hallzerk is up and down, overall mediocre. Floppy dropped a lot and basically only player that is (surpisingly) good is Grim. IF EG would buy right players, they could have had much higher peak with him in roster than this col will ever have. If they would replace JT with someone and hallzerk with singificantly better awper, make floppy more supportive i can see decent team. This? Few upsets here and there and that's it. Eg could have been: Elige, Autimatic, jorge, degster/regali/forsyyy basically ayone solid, likely someone from EU That said, EG still can build this roster without elige quite easily, there are plenty of EU/CIS players, problem is, they won't have NA core. Maybe get marke to this roster, or some BR player speaking english?
