The Brazilian sniper departs the organization ahead of his reported move to Fluxo.

paiN have announced the departure of Romeu "⁠zevy⁠" Rocco from their active roster. A recent report has linked the Brazilian sniper to a transfer to Fluxo, as the organization also eyes the signing of zevy's ex-teammate Vinicios "⁠PKL⁠" Coelho alongside other changes.

paiN are now down to just two members of the roster that peaked at #13 in the world rankings in April, as zevy and Wesley "⁠hardzao⁠" Lopes have been moved to the bench while Gabriel "⁠NEKIZ⁠" Schenato signed for 00NATION. Dust2.com.br recently reported that paiN are set to complete the roster with Kaue "⁠kauez⁠" Kaschuk, Cássio "⁠cass1n⁠" Santos, and Fluxo's Lucas "⁠lux⁠" Meneghini.

zevy was in the team for just under a year, having joined in August as a replacement for outgoing Gabriel "⁠nython⁠" Lino and quickly staked his claim as one of the best AWPers in South America, averaging a 1.14 rating during his time in the team.

The 22-year-old was a massive part of paiN's spring season success as his 1.21-rated performance at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR helped return the team to the Major circuit. He also showed good consistency by having just three events with a negative rating during 2023.

One of those came at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Challengers Stage, where zevy was unable to reach his previous heights. That was especially true for the deciding game against Monte in the 2-2 pool of the Swiss system, where he finished bottom of the board with a 0.68 rating.

Pain`s changes have been the most weird to me, there was seemingly no reason in my eyes for any of these players to leave the org and seemingly downgrade in other BR rosters. Pain should have just stuck together. They showed that they can hit top form and just needed a little consistency.

They were great in the begining, but in the last tournaments they play like trash losing every single spot to ATK, i think if Pain did played well these tournaments they would keep the roster

they had good results, they did well at the major they fell cuz lack of experience and then when on a emotional downer. Losing a few times dor ATK shouldnt be enough to overshadow their victories.

tbh , all of these changes are meaningless in the grand scheme of things apart from whats happening with Furia and Imperial. Gonna be only two new BR rosters capable of dealing any damage

If Pain's plan was to disband/stop investing in CS, they could have at least free Biguzera and Skullz... Two of the best brazilian rifles now stucked with 3 academy players... Imagine Mibr with Biguzera, Skullz, Saffee, Drop and Insani Or Imperial with Biguzera, Skullz, Hen1, Vini, Jota/Felps Or even Fluxo with, Biguzera, Skullz, Zevy, Lucaozy and Vsm Such a wasted potential

pain finally had a good roster that could compete with furia and other NA teams, and even some EU rosters. but nah, the entire team starts heading to t3 brazilian teams one by one
