Jimpphat completes MOUZ roster

Yet another NXT player finds his way to MOUZ's main squad.

MOUZ's roster is ready to compete with the addition of Jimpphat

MOUZ has confirmed Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo's promotion to the main squad after a fruitful time in MOUZ NXT.

The 16-year-old, who is the younger brother of 2019 top 20 player of the year Jere "sergej" Salo, will thus take his first steps in a professional team with the German organization.

MOUZ NXT down to two after Jimpphat departure

Jimpphat made the jump from the Finnish scene to international play in March 2022, when he joined MOUZ NXT. During his time in the academy squad he averaged a 1.18 rating in nearly 300 maps and was the top performer in the team's CCT 5 North Europe 5 victory.

The Finn also leaves NXT with a WePlay Academy League title to his name and becomes another player in a long line of NXT graduates to join the first team.

He is following in the footsteps of teammates Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás, Dorian "xertioN" Berman, Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek — who left to GamerLegion between his academy days and his recent return — and even the player he is replacing, Jon "JDC" de Castro.

MOUZ is now ready for competition, which will start for them at the IEM Cologne Play-in on July 26. The organization has kept an all-important three-man which secures their spot at the event as torzsi will remain on the team despite murmurs over the break suggesting he could potentially be on his way out.

MOUZ's lineup is now:

Slovakia David "frozen" Čerňanský
Poland Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek
Hungary Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás
Israel Dorian "xertioN" Berman
Finland Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo

Denmark Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen (coach)

I mean yeah it doesn't take a genius to know why. Covid made na stop competing with eu right when na were dominating. And then their entire tier 2 scene got gutted by valorant.

+1. Also to bring up a point from an old post of mine, NA has a huge focus on content creation so a lot of potential top talent put more work on their image and social media than they do their gameplay. Is what it is. NA CS might come back, it might not, but the fanbase is still here to support the scene whether it be NA or not.

Yes but this has ALWAYS been an issue. It's why na despite having some of the best talent in the scene during 2017-2018 (only clicking heads wise not counting anything else) they didn't really do shit. (Minus 2018 liquid) Na complaceny was and is a big issue , but I just don't think it was the reason because it was always a talking point.

There are many factors as to why NA CS is dead, I agree. I just had not seen anyone bring up my point in the endless amount of threads that were popping up in May/June. Everyone always brought up Covid but never the current state of culture in NA regarding CS. Don't even get me started on NA Orgs though, they are as big a culprit as any one else as to why the scene is dead as well.

By NA dominating are we talking about liquid in 2019 when they won 6 events in a span of 3 months? During that time they didn't play against Astralis even once, although they did play in the same tournament one time, so that's a legit win. But in that same year Astralis won 3 events, including 2 majors, and in both of those majors Liquid, as the only NA representative was dropped already in quarter finals. Calling it domination is a bit of a far fetch. Before and after that summer NA didn't really win much of anything, unless we go all the way back to 2018 where they won two events by 2 different teams, And another one in 2016.

They literally beat astralis twice in playoffs let alone in group stages , even during blastralis they still met, they just didn't the first two tournaments, you should really get your facts straight. Also it was more than 3 months. It was 6 months of no one being able to even touch them, with unbeaten series win streaks that no one has touched to this day, even in the current garbage weak scene no one can come close. Also I was including eg/nrg in the mix. Claiming covid didn't kill na is like claiming the war didn't kill the cis scenes chance for total dominance. Or that Australian/asian cs wouldn't have been relevant in some form. Also I guess being the consistently number 2 best team in the world for the entire second half of 2018 isn't impressive. Regardless I was referring specifically to liquid and the cerq Ethan lineups of 2019 up until covid, as even when liquid fell off after the player break, they were still competing for titles , and eg were then the number 1 team for a short minute before covid. You're clearly bitter that ence was cockblocked the entire 2019 year by liquid. But I'm not a blind dumb "fan" like you. I loved ence, they were like astralis with less firepower. Which made their feats even more impressive. Also astralis is the best team of all time. Also shox and Kenny are my favorite players of all time. I don't even ride Na like that. But I'd have to be pretty dumb to not acknowledge that liquid literally stomped all over the entire scene including astralis for 6 months straight

Seems like someone got a tiny bit triggered there. First of all I mentioned nothing about Covid so I claimed nothing about covid. Second of all I couldn't care less about ENCE. I like it when they do well but that's about it. Also them getting "cockblocked" (which in itself is a really weird way to put it) is a bit off since they dropped liquid in the major. You seem to be struggling with facts so here's some for you: liquipedia.net/counterstrike/S-Tier_Tour.. Liquid winning tournaments from april to july. I can tell you that's not 6 months. In Malmö both EG and Liquid dropped down in the first round. After that both of them also lost their very first games in the lower bracket AND both of those teams who won against them, lost their second games. You can tell me all kinds of fairy tale stories about domination or "no one being able to touch them", but it doesn't make it true. Especially since Astralis won before and after that time period. Hell even Fnatic won a title during that so call untouchable phase, which actually was in Malmö. And yeah. Astralis won The major in August. You might wanna check your calendar again for the time periods you want to call total domination. I'm not even going to ask you why on earth you'd bring up your favorite players who couldn't be further away from the topic you wrote a whole novel about unrelated stuff, and the things you managed to talk about the topic in hand were only partly true and over exaggerated. It's literally the same if you threw a claim about Outsiders being untouchable and having an era, when they won one major last summer, and not really doing much since. I assume you calling me a "blind dumb fan" is some sort of coping comeback for you when backed into a corner. All I did was give you a few facts from the records. NA did amazingly well in 2019, but talking about domination is nothing else but fans jerking in a circle. -Liquid won 5 events (in my previous post I said 6, but it was actually 5) -Astralis won 5 events (every single event with a big prize pool, wonder how that happened. including majors) EG won 2 events, and all the rest of the events were won by other EU or CIS teams I previously left out the events that were outside of this so called "NA domination period", because that's what we were talking about. Yes they did play against each others more that year, but Astralis beat them then. Like in Blast as you mentioned, and Esports Championship Series Season (And yes after checking again they did play against each other once in pro league final playoffs during that time period)

Real quick first. Apologies for the shot, it seemed like you were genuinely just being unreasonable. Now that you explained yourself, I came back to the top of this comment to add this paragraph , you weren't being blind , you simply had a different opinion, sorry for assuming. Ence dropped liquid in the major? It's almost like that's AFTER the 6 months of them cucking ence that I spoke of Also only April? I guess second place finishes aren't enough. Because their first tournament win of 2019 was in January, and guess what , they met astralis in the finals, AND WON. Yeah their DOMINANCE WIN STREAK CANT EVEN BE TOUCHED AND NO ONE HAS COME CLOSE TO SAID WIN STREAK was only since April, But I must've forgot the entire beginning of 2019 before April when liquid were the number 1 team but just not untouchable Also I must've forgot the entire second half of 2018 being the best team not called astralis. Yaknow, the BEST TEAM OF ALL TIME THAT NO OTHER TEAM HAS GOTTEN CLOSE TO. so give 2018 liquid any other dominant team of the past as a rival. 2016-17 sk, both fnatics. Nip, the French lineups , 2021 navi even, and liquid wouldve been the number one team of 2018, ONLY VS the greatest team of all time that in 4 years no one has even came close to , were they number 2. Okay but I'm not talking about Malmo, I was referring to specifically everything mid 2018 to mid 2019. Unless your point is moreso about eg , if so yeah man super streaky team Also eg were literally ranked the number one team once liquid fell off, yes it wasn't long , but eg unlike liquid, weren't falling off prior to covid. They were always a stable top 4 team until then. Obviously with dips and peaks in form. Most na teams were streaky as fuck. It's why I didn't love them My argument with covid isn't that it's why liquid fell off. My argument for covid (and valorant) is that it destroyed liquids chance of coming back, killed egs momentum, and completely gutted the tier 2 scene making fixing it impossible. I named other players to emphasize that I promise I'm not an na fanboy, I cannot stand the complacency , and the only na team that truly won me over was 2018-19 liquid. I'm actually historically a France fanboy csgo wise, and a neo and ruben fanboy cs 1.6 wise, so the poles. I went on that tangent because I was misunderstanding and assuming you were just being a blind fan, so I wanted to show that I was keeping my biases out of it. Sorry again. Dude just because liquid were only untouchable for 3 months doesn't mean they didn't have a dominant presence since their 1-4th place in epl (maybe even the tournament behind it) Yes after liquid won blast in Jan they fell sorta off for a few tournaments , but then there's was some 1st place and alot of 2nd places before their unstoppable run. How are these tournaments not counted just because there's some top 4s in between them. And just because some are second place? Sk literally couldn't win shit besides majors yet we crowned their run as dominant. "All" they won of note is the majors, Now this is huge. But I don't get why this is considered dominance but liquids jan-mid 2019 run isn't. Even with the 2 4th placings. Sk were getting those as well. Is the only team we are comparing liquid to astralis? Because then yeah sure their jan-mid 2019 run wasn't dominant, only from april it was. Ps. Don't use Navis 2021 win streaks during a weak as fuck just fresh off the online period scene, as a comparison to liquids (LONGER) win streaks during the scene at its literal peak of competition
2023-07-13 20:23

I can't edit my comment for some reason, so I want to note , frankly I count the entire first half of 2019, considering they win the first tournament. Have two 4-8th place finishes, and then I believe nothing but 1s and 2s afterwards. Just not 1 after 1 after 1 like with April. I'm just extending an olive branch, by saying fine if you don't want to count since January, but even since epl or the tournament behind it? That I really can't see , unless 2nd places mean nothing even when there is number 1 placings surrounding them

Weren't there rumours about torzsi's departure at the same time as the rumours about JDC? I also think he is the weak part but... After literally years I have the desire to watch Mouz games again. Give them time, even with torzsi, i dont mind that much. Maybe he'll perform better when he plays with / under siuhy again. Otherwise, of course, the next logical step is to get someone else on the AWP and then... Give them time and let them grow. Promising!

back when he was playing with siuhy, szejn, mhl and xertion he was averaging 1.04 rating. which yes could just mean they gave xertion and siuhy more space and the better positions from JDC. On the new NXT he obviously got a lot better roles for him on both sides and it shows. Hopefully they can keep Jimpphat's some good roles in the main roster too or he's gonna fall back to 1.05 ratings

That's what I meant. It won't be an upgrade cause Jimpphat is different to JDC. And neither MOUZ or Jimp will win with that shuffle.

0/8, NT, His stats have been good even tier 2 teams like 9ine, sprout, 500, aurora, Spirit ac, Heet, Monte, into the breach and endpoint when his team has clearly been worse, so very impressive carry. He can still delay his military service by 13 years, I think he has time to be cs pro before that. Sergej only went to military because he wanted. He also is LAN monster and he has played his First lan at age of 13 so he has been playing lans for over a 3 years now. I am sorry, nothing can stop him + you are hating on 16 year old kid, shame on you.

Bro no one is expecting him to be a superstar right away, he's just super interesting guy to follow given that he's only 16. Getting into pro CS at that age is amazing, and it'll be really interesting to see how he develops. Exact same thing goes for donk.

Big upgrades for MOUZ in this transfer window - dexter and JDC replaced by siuhy and Jimpphat is very exciting for them. As people are saying, if siuhy can get a bit more out of torzi now this team could be crazy. I think even if torzi stays at his current level they have so much fire power everywhere else that they will be a lot better. I see them going deep in playoffs with this lineup

I am confident that siuhy will bring out the best in torzsi. dexter was a good IGL, but wasn't the right fit for torzsi. MOUZ is going to make deep playoff runs this year and win a few tournaments between a mix of B to S tier events, both online and LAN. Let's go MOUZ, finish 2023 strong and hit the ground running in CS2!

I have similar hopes here and also think that it was more an igl thing to utilize the awper wrong. Torzsi is a good awper , or at least he was. Mouz deserve to win events . They are always low budged but make the best out of it , they create so much talents for the scene .

I couldn't agree with you anymore. MOUZ is both a tier 1 team and a feeder team. Side note - I am very surprised that no one has poached frozen in all of his time playing for MOUZ.

Actually true. They bounce between a title contender team and a team that drops out without showing anything . I hope they become Consistent with this young lineup. I think Mouz really cares about their players and make them feel welcome , maybe that is why frozen and ropz were staying for so long

Before the Major MOUZ tried to put xertion in all the star roles/positions in every map, If I remember correctly only frozen kept his position at Inferno CT because he is so good there, but every other map they tried to put xertion in the star role. So as a star player (with frozen) I dont think he gonna play bitch roles.
