Hussar Cup postpone open qualifier; look into rescheduling event

The tournament organizer is under pressure from invited teams to reschedule the event.

The stadium days were originally slated for September 1-3

The European open qualifier for Hussar Cup will not take place on Thursday, as expected.

The Polish tournament organizer has temporarily suspended the preliminary stage as it looks into rescheduling the main event, which was slated for August 30-September 3 — a direct clash with ESL Pro League.

$1,000,000 CS2 LAN to be held in Poland

The tournament organizer has announced that they "received an ultimatum from the invited teams regarding their concern about financial losses due to overlapping schedules and shared viewership of the Hussar Cup with other esports competition."

The two publicly known invited teams so far for the $1,000,000 eight-team tournament in Chorzów, Poland, which was initially announced as a CS2 tournament, are ENCE and 9INE.

Ticket sales have also been temporarily suspended and refunds for purchased tickets have been made available.

tbh the fact that there is almost 0 information and it's supposed to be soon doesn't help it. Also, Poland currently is a great spot to do fraud and money laundering, especially if you are on the good side with the ruling party.

What a bullshit... Go back to 2010 (i guess you had like 5 yo back then) and tell me what was the situation in Poland back then and now. Its 3x better now. Also, Im pretty sure you have no idea that back then, the other political party back then sold over 1000 polish companies basicly for free to other contries, minimal wage was 3x smaller, unemployment was around 20%...If you wanna go back to those times, you can do it. Normal people care about Poland's growth, oposition right now only care about germans interests in Poland...

Clown fiesta at its finest... open quals were supposed to start today too, so that has to be "fun" for people involved. Also makes you wonder where they'll cram it in if the tournament even happens in the end. October, between Blast Fall Showdown and IEM Sydney? After Sydney there's Thunderpick, then 2 weeks and another Blast. Not seeing many good gaps in the calendar. (and that's all aside from CS2 release date still essentially being "eventually", because Valve)
