MOUZ advance to IEM Cologne group stage

A superb performance from David "⁠frozen⁠" Čerňanský helped MOUZ defeat NIP 2-0 to earn a berth to the main group stage.

MOUZ have secured a spot in the top-16 stage of IEM Cologne after easing past Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-0 in the upper bracket of the Play-in, earning wins on Nuke (16-12) and Inferno (16-7).

The team has frozen and Ádám "⁠torzsi⁠" Torzsás to thank for the victory, with the Slovakian rifler stepping up on the first map of the series with an immense performance to guide them to a 16-12 finish. A stand-out ace from him helped turn the tides of a potential NIP recovery and helped MOUZ establish a dominant first half lead before they clinched victory, and he didn't cool off when Inferno got underway.

There, frozen was joined by torzsi, who continued to demonstrate a strong level after starting the day with a ridiculous 50-kill showing against The MongolZ on Nuke. The Hungarian AWPer lay waste to Ninjas in Pyjamas alongside frozen, ending the day by going 20:0 in opening duels between the three maps he played.

MOUZ have earned themselves a day off before the main group stage of IEM Cologne gets underway, whereas NIP will fight to recover from their loss in the lower bracket as they take on the winner of Imperial vs. Grayhound to advance.

Mouz looks very solid, I will really root for them to be champions if the Brazilian teams are eliminated, I really like frozen and siuhy.
