draken completes IKLA roster

The Swede completes IKLA's transition from a largely inexperienced all-Ukrainian lineup to a European core boasting some well-known names.

draken is back in action after two months on GODSENT's bench

IKLA has announced the signing of William "⁠draken⁠" Sundin to its CS:GO roster. The 27-year-old AWPer joins the team on a transfer from GODSENT, where he had been benched since early June.

The lineup is now complete after the organization previously brought in new riflers Michał "⁠MICHU⁠" Müller and Zoran "⁠xicoz⁠" Markovski, as well as Mariusz "⁠Loord⁠" Cybulski as the new head coach over the summer. Only Oleksii "⁠Topa⁠" Topchiienko and Vladyslav "⁠Kvem⁠" Korol remain from the previous iteration of the lineup.

The new team has already begun playing together in officials, taking part in CCT North Europe Series 6. IKLA have progressed through the Swiss stage with a 3-1 record, notably beating B8 in their qualification series, with draken being their highest-rated player at the tournament so far (1.19).

Their biggest test will come in the playoffs, where they are set on a collision course with MIBR in the round of 16 on Saturday at 20:00 .

In Ukrainian “ikla” means “fangs”. Thats kind of their whole thing - beasts, claws, aggressiveness, when addressing fans or the team they use the word “predators”. A little bit weird branding if you ask me. Btw, fun fact: IKLA is the same org as EC Kyiv, they had a rebranding last year
