Here's everything you need to know about the second of three IEM Cologne Fantasy games in bullet points.

hasteka's extremely low price could balance out multiple expensive additions to your Fantasy teams

Format

- You can create your teams in the Fantasy page here

- The game was released before all teams were determined. If you're reading this before the game has started, make sure to make the most of the new additions from the Play-in and with the newly determined matchups in mind

- The game includes the group stage only, not the playoffs

- 16 teams are split into two double-elimination groups

- Upper bracket semi-final winners receive padding for round 3

- All matches are BO3, so you get full points for every game

- The first eight teams' prices were adjusted given the small sample size after the player break

- The prices of eight teams who qualified from the Play-in are unadjusted and based only on player ratings in the past three months

- This has created some extreme lows: the most impactful one is Chinguun "⁠hasteka⁠" Bayarmaa's $143,000 price, which makes him a much more viable choice than usually

- Another important change is Timur "⁠buster⁠" Tulepov replacing Sergey "⁠Ax1Le⁠" Rykhtorov for the group stage. Due to this happening following the release of the game, buster inherited Ax1Le's high $220,000 price point

Imagine if HLTV could refer to another fantasy content creator sometime and not just to famous cs profiles. "Hmm scrawny can't do a video, let's look for another cs profile.. Oh yes, Lucy!" After looking at her video, I don't agree at all. All her drafts include players from cloud9. I would never go for a player from cloud9 at this points, why? Because they got a new roster with new IGL which is a huge deal. We don't know how their strategies and chemestry will look like.

If Ax1le would have been on the site, why not? The team is rolewise and firepowerwise stacked; it makes sense to work. The players in Cloud 9, specifically electronic and Perfecto, have been in a little slump and they might shine through a honeymoon period since we know from the past where their floor/ceiling is and that they can play really well. I know it is just a play in, but how did a new roster with a new IGL worked in the play-in for Mouz? The video was ok and showed good examples (if Ax1le was on the roster which changes a lot).

Yes, the official lineup should work and looks crazy. Im just saying that it's usually not a good idea to go for a team that just changed their structure, especially when they got a new IGL. It worked good for MOUZ but they actually almost lost to mongolz. You could also look at FURIA, what a disaster. All new teams need more time so we can analyze them better where they at. The video was ok if you're going for c9 players but I suggest you don't for this tournament. And my opinion stands even if c9 will do good here.

Generally agree with this sentiment, but I think you also not mention the pause :-) The holidays and "rust" associated with it can make out of well versed teams a bit "changed". Advocating to bet on a lineup newly formed shouldn't pay off, but now, after the player break, we don't know too much about any team (maybe, hopefully, with the exception of consistent Heroic) where they stand. Also, Mongolz are not that bad..
