syrsoN leaves BIG amid reports of international move

The AWPer recently featured in Pinnacle Cup V with a new team under Thomas "⁠birdfromsky⁠" Due-Frederiksen, playing as QM.

syrsoN may be looking beyond Germany for his next team

00NATION are in talks to sign a squad led by birdfromsky that also features Florian "⁠syrsoN⁠" Rische, Jon "⁠JDC⁠" de Castro and Nikolaj "⁠niko⁠" Kristensen, according to a report from dust2.dk.

Headlining the international roster would be syrsoN, who stepped down from BIG’s main roster in February after the team suffered an early exit from IEM Katowice. The AWPer has two HLTV MVP medals to his name and made the top 20 players list in 2020, coming in at No. 10. BIG recently announced syrsoN had been transferred to a new team.

birdfromsky leads the lineup, having most recently been part of Copenhagen Flames until the organization folded in May. niko and JDC arrive from OG and MOUZ respectively, the former having served a short stint as OG’s stand-in IGL, the latter having been benched after a period of poor form for MOUZ. Rounding out the roster is Tim "⁠susp⁠" Ångström, who has bounced around various European rosters such as Budapest Five, Juggernauts and most recently PORTUGAL.

Dennis "⁠Rytter⁠" Rytter is reported to serve as the coach for the team. The Dane is familiar to the 00NATION organization, having coached their academy team, PROSPECTS, since 2021.

The lineup has already played an official match together, playing as QM in Pinnacle Cup V. The team played Spirit in the first round of the swiss stage and were beaten 2-1, winning Anubis (16-9) in between losses on Ancient (10-16) and Overpass (7-16).

No top tier org wants an anti social onliner in their team. He made a mistake by leaving big and now he will be stuck in these weird mix teams worse then any iteration of big clan he has played in.

Because he can't and won't join a better one. He had his year when it was online but was quickly figured out to be unable to perform on LAN.

I don’t watch thorin anymore, but I’ve seen that he interviewed syrson. Is it worth? But it’s been reported that syrson was in talks with falcons and with TSM and from what I heard the TSM move fell through because he demanded too much money

At least syrsoN joined an international team with shuffles potential. At the same time BIG rounded back to 2020 and speaking english for one single player in the lineup holding german language for conversation between themselves. To reach T1 level BIG need changes with non-german players for obvious reasons (no german talents available, excluding s1n maybe), but it's not like they're going to became Berlin INTERNATIONAL Gaming in the near future.

A very solid sniper it has to be said. birdfromsky seems like one of the best if not the best IGL you could've taken from Tier2, so also interesting piece. I even like niko tbh., I think he has been pretty underrated, I think he can do a great job in tough places as an anchor, and I'm happy he is getting another chance. I'm kinda surprised they have JDC here, I mean they already have support/anchor player in niko, so I assume he is supposed to be one of the star riflers of this team, well, I'm not sure about that, that's the first questionable piece here for me. susp has been a breakout player in these Tier2/3 mixes, like really, the guy looks insane in the game, so overall, I think the only question I have is how JDC will be playing in new roles and positions, but if he steps up, I can see this team being really dangerous, GL guys.
