BetBoom are preparing to make their first appearance since going official at the end of last month, with the team set to take part in the IEM Sydney Europe Open Qualifier 1.

The event will run from August 9-10, with the top two teams earning berths for the closed qualifier, which is set to go down August 23-25. Should teams fail in their first attempt, a second European open qualifier is scheduled for August 11-12.

Plenty of other notable teams will be attempting to make their way through the qualifier, with Falcons’ newly-constructed roster, BIG, Spirit, FURIA, and MIBR all signed up to participate. Over 300 teams in total are currently registered for the qualifier.

BetBoom have brought together a roster of leftover Russian players under the leadership of nafany, who was replaced on Cloud9 by Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov in the off-season.

Pavel "⁠S1ren⁠" Ogloblin and Aleksandr "⁠zorte⁠" Zagodyrenko bring a reasonable amount of tier-one experience to the mix, having represented Spirit and FORZE respectively, with youngsters Aleksandr "⁠KaiR0N-⁠" Anashkin and Danil "⁠danistzz⁠" Roslyakov rounding out the team.
