BLAST Premier Fall Showdown qualifiers announced

Tournaments across four continents will determine seven teams advancing to the BLAST Premier Fall Final qualifiers.

BLAST has announced seven qualifiers for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, the final step on the road to the BLAST Premier Fall Final taking place in Copenhagen in November.

The qualifiers will run from August 10-September 17 and feed one team each to the Showdown across four continents: one North American, one South American, four European, and one Asian slot will be up for grabs.

The online Fall Showdown itself will follow on October 4-8, split between the Americas and Europe, with the winners qualifying for the Fall Final.

Of the 16 teams in total, six have already been determined after they failed to qualify from the Fall Groups — G2, Liquid, Complexity, OG, BIG, and Evil Geniuses —, seven will come from the pre-qualifiers, and three more will be directly invited.

The South American tournament is slated to start later this Thursday, boasting the likes of 00NATION, Fluxo, and 9z. You can follow the event on the tournament page here.

The schedule looks as follows:

South America TG Masters (South America) - August 10-13
Asia 5E Arena Asia Cup Fall (Asia) - August 26-28
North America Ace NA Masters Fall (North America) - September 7-10
Europe RTP Arena Fall Cup (Iberia) - September 7-10
Europe RES West EU Masters (Western Europe) - September 8-10
Europe RES East EU Masters (Eastern Europe) - September 15-17
Europe Nordic Masters (Nordics) - September 15-17

+1 Can't really complain about Africa not getting a qualifier for a qualifier when there's literally just 2 spots to the main event for the whole world :D

I was reading too fast and saw the headline with the teams " — G2, Liquid, Complexity, OG, BIG, and Evil Geniuses —, " and I thought "these are the already qualified teams, wtf happened there" It's the teams for the showdown pfiew

I mean I'm not saying they are great, but I'd rather have 1 Australian team & 2 invited Brazilian teams in the event than 3 Brazilian teams.

I guess they will have to compete in Asia if they want to qualify. Oceania is probably too small/too irrelevant (sorry, but you know it's the truth) to have it's own qualifier.

Oh I know, I stated that in #40 and Brazil doesn't have any BLAST partner teams either so it does help balance the event. I just wish they would invite at least one non-Brazilian team out of the 3 invite spots.

All 3 teams qualifying from the non-European regions are slated to play in the Americas event, so things will be a bit more competitive: liquipedia.net/counterstrike/BLAST/Premi..
