SK remove kHRYSTAL - Report

According to rakaka.se, SK Gaming have decided to part company with Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström.

The Swedish player joined SK from H2k Gaming together with team-mate Johan "face" Klasson in September, and has helped the team win Extreme Masters Global Finals Chengdu, IEF 2009, Arbalet Cup Europe and, more recently, the IOL Finals.

Reports in Sweden claim that Sjöström is no longer on the team due to his failure to fit in with the remaining players. He has departed SK Gaming's team profile on their official website.

HLTV.org understands that SK Gaming are targeting Rasmus "GuX" Ståhl, who joined H2k last month but has yet to sign a contract due to a dispute with the Dutch-based organisation over his wages.

GuX: new man to come?

It is believed that Ståhl would jump at the chance to represent SK after watching his new team crash out early at the IOL Finals, courtesy of Begrip Gaming.

SK Gaming have yet to comment on this matter. If confirmed, Sjöström's removal leaves the team as:

Jimmy "allen" Allén
Dennis "walle" Wallenberg
Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström
Johan "face" Klasson

khrystal=nothing,but perhaps you=something in cs right?How can you say that khrystal is just lamer,when his arrival helped the team to win 3 or 4 big tournaments,in which khrystals influence in their game was not smaller than robbans or walles...khrystal is certainly one of the best players in the world(and no,im not his fan) and the only reason to leave sk might be "his failure to fit in with the remaining players",although i dont think that he will leave.

Didn't see this coming, face&khrystal have really stepped it up for SK. Maybe it's because he is a bit younger than the rest of the players? SK is a company and a sports team. Both of those organizations have the goal to become better and bigger. Your chain is only as strong as your weakest link, replace the weakest link to make your chain stronger until you feel comfortable. What SK does is the right thing to do in their situation.

What they do is actually extremely professional. Unprofessional would be to have kHRYSTAl lurk around not fitting the team holding back the other players. Think about it this way though: If he really doesn't fit in, do you think he'd like to stay in that team where there's awkward situations all the time? I know I wouldn't. I will be honest in my take on this issue...coz this has been happening for too long... some new face joins...after some time..they have eye on some other guy...so suddenly the previous guy doesn't socially fit..(gtr..zneel...coz SK are the only grownups on the scene..oh yeah)... IMO Walle and Robban..this duo is holding SK back from what it can be...I don't know what they offer to SK management that their places are never in question....Its not like these two are top 5 (not even top 8) in sweden..far from it... Just let them go..and there are so many in SWE who will do it better... /end rant Though it will be great if khrystal joins MYM...perfect fifth!

I mean them as a duo..you will agree that they have always played together..pretty much they form team around themselves.. my only question is that why are their places in a top esports team like SK never questioned...I mean if there was any introspection on this...walle would have been out a long ago... Robban has been performing better...but at the same time you gotta say that there are many who can offer the same or better level of performance (good performance vs fnatic in final...pretty much average before...for a good amount of time) SWE is just teeming with talent... And please I am not basing this off mere k/d ratios...

A player like robban is needed in any team in the world man, ive refered loordb before as the same kind of player, same goes for dsn for example. They got muchhh experience, great aim, very consistent players. I agree with walle underperforming, but now maybe he will go back to his beloved awp and start performing, who knows

I couldn`t agree more with u Marcus1g, RobbaN is clearly a underrated player and as you say he is very consistant - Doesn`t always put up the most crazy clutches but he always gets his 1 or 2 frags every round. You can check the K/D difference in SK, I guess he also is #1 or #2 there. Also I would like to point out what a good allround-player RobbaN is, he can handle his ak/colt just as good as the awp. because they are a top team with huge sponsors, they can't afford to be lazy about CS. plus fnatic don't train a lot, they get together only a few days before each tournament and play online rest of the time. you can easily guess that SK play at least as much.

If you actually knew anything, you would know that that the top at least play some hours a day or even more(mostly) and practice ALOT before events and when they started most of them played around the clock to even get where they are. It's not a secret how much they play, nor how much(little) money they earn, however it's not something that they blabber about.

Sad news, but not for SK. I'm afraid that H2k will suffer from this move. They have built a lineup that can be a danger for any team, but if SK signs Gux H2k will never be able to improve. I would have loved to see a new threat to the top teams. Still I hope that the rumor about GuX switching to SK will not come true.

I dont think this is such a huge issue. kHRYSTAL has played very well for SK but with the incredible strength the swedish scene has at the moment losing him really wont affect SK that much in my opinion. Whatever the actual reason for his departure, I doubt SK will have trouble finding an equal replacement

Are you all in here dumbs? How the hell could you say they do well because they wanna improve? Has anyone of you seen an SK game lately? This is absolutelly not a decision about the "ingame". If he does not fit it's about something outside CS. But right now he was one of the best 3 awpers arounds and one of the most complete players. And Walle & Face were doing it well 2gether. Who will awp now? Walle? This decision has no sens for us because the team was doing well and was improving a lot. Maybe it's a contract problem, who knows? And for those who claim SK|Gux... did you just stop a moment to think about kHRYSTAL back to H2K. He would improve a 1000 times FYRR73 (who btw is on his way to MYM) and the team will get even more solid. I'd prefer to not destroy H2K keeping Gux and adding kHRYSTAL, rather than seeing Gux at SK because THIS decision they took about kHRYSTAL is sensless and really stupid. He has been vital in many important & decisive rounds of the tournaments they won, and that's how they thank him... SHAME!

these are recent players you have played with/against. just open your steam friends and click on "Players" right of the top. then you see playerlist - in current game and playerlist - recent games. sometimes it is kind of funny. you win every pcw and then you check your enemies. always nice to see they are more or less progamers :o

When face&khrystal joined I already knew SK wouldn't be the same, but at least it was a solid attempt to get back to top. However, it was clear from the start to many people that this attempt would fail nonetheless. Now it's time to admit defeat. And to admit that the problem is not in players you choose, but the one who leads them. gg, bb SK. The excitement, the thrill of watching you is long gone for me. And your player treatment is shady and simply disgusting.

exactly. Which brings another question, what is the reason. Or, maybe, WHO is the reason ? I simply do not believe 3 different people (gtr, zneel, khrystal) did not fit in with ALL 4 other players.

I feel you bro. :\ It sucks because, apparently, everyone in SK needs to have exceptional relationship with one another.. their chemistry demand is out of this world.. maybe even beyond homosexual. I don't know what's wrong with SK.cs tbh. Why can't they deal with it professionally like any other teams out there? Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney weren't the best of friends after WC'06... but they put every personal grudge aside when playing for Manchester United and went on to win the prestigious treble in 2008. They eventually became close friends as well. Why can't they (SK) do the same? *EDIT* also worth mentioning elemeNt and XeqtR during their NoA times. Key word of the day, professionalism. and I hope nobody will say kHRYSTAL is an emo guy bla bla bla... we all know he is a hot-blooded teenager and sometimes fail to control his anger, I mean, he did mention in one of his videos that he once wanted to quit CS and had the game deleted from his computer after losing a game. SK knew kHRYSTAL was just that kind of a guy.. they should've seen it coming.

Thing is - Man Utd has Sir Alex. An idol, a leader, The man who knows what to do and his word is a law; and they have plenty of old famous players to teach younger ones. You're bound to feel yourself a foolish child if you start quarrels with somebody in front of them and thus hurt the team spirit. It seems like SK lost this "old guard" somewhere along the road. Instead they have money and can buy and steal players, however, no player is guaranteed that he would "fit in". Fit in where and with whom, I wonder ? The way SK parted ways with Get_Right, khrystal, zneel - really says a lot. They don't have any spirit anymore, only blind ambition. And honestly, I can't see it changing any time soon, if ever at all. In football you have a head coach to blame, though.

You just got it. I think maybe it's not because of bds, but it's obvious that since HeatoN first, and then ahl, vilden and fisker left SK, they became an unstable team. Players can't feel they are SK and what's the real Schroet spirit. It's lost and will be difficult to recover and regain. 3D, Mousesports and SK were the stable clans, with self security and clear goals. Now, we only can see that spirit in the mouZ even if they lost an important player like Jhonny R. back in time. It's sad because it just destroys CS Scene. Everything looks like a big clash of MIXES that exchanges line-up every 2 months...

absolutely true. IMO - money and success are the main problems as they are in modern football. The real team spirit is a rare beast to see. I can only think of AGAiN and MTW before mje left. And bds cannot take blame for everything of course, I blame walle and Budak no less than him.

i watched some demos of SK recently and i have to say Khrystal was by far the best from the team in all possible ways....i don't understand sk's decision but if he doesn't fit with the team it means very much
