Na´Vi change name to... Na´Vi

Na'Vi have announced Natus Vincere as the name for the team, which will allow them to keep their original tag.

The complete name, which in Latin means "born to win", was not suggested by anyone, but the hint came from one of HLTV.org's users, namely Portuguese user Bruno "hArtik" Estevens.

This means the Ukrainian team, who are currently competing in Arbalet Cup February in Moscow, will keep their original Na'Vi clan tag, which was a request from many community members.

Users at HLTV.org and gameinside.ua had a week to submit their suggestions of a new name for the Ukrainian team, previously known as Arbalet UA.

Estevens will now be contacted by Natus Vincere, who will reward him with a personal prize, to be discussed with him.

Good name but I dont understand why there was any competition at all if somebody who wasnt even participating could win.

They just wanted a name, they got inspired by a comment, and even acknowledged that, I do not see the problem..

I was hoping they wouldn't reuse Na'vi since there were definitely some better suggestions in the threads. Seems like they really wanted to reuse it though. The loose translation fits the needs but it's just a clan tag so whatever. I just hope they can keep winning :D

It's totally okay, most of the other suggestions were shit like Elite Assassins, Ucrainian Angels, Superkillers, WepwnU and so on. Would have been so embarrasing for them.

not to be harsh but the tag/clan name kind of shows how professional they are "born to win", lol? As long as they attend arbalet maybe. Na'Vi? Such an allusion on the movie makes it kind of sad. People commit suicide because they want to be a blue man with tail, who in their right mind would create a semi-professional team named Na'Vi? They might aswell name themself "inglorious basterds" or "green street elite" haha. I hope 20th Century Fox pay them, else it's just sad tagging like that.

actually i think the purpose of holding a naming contest is for advertising only, just look that thousands of comments submitted and i know they have a success on it, it's just my opinion though.

Actually, it's not the same name. Their full name is "Natus Vincere". This allowed them to keep their previous tag Na'Vi untouched.

I think it is more about the "idea" than about "correctness"... Though you are right, no 'Study in School boys and girls' campaign by them if the name in Latin is wrong (would be interesting to know the real right one!)
