dav1deuS steps down from 9z

The Chilean rifler has chosen to longer be a part of La Violeta's starting five.

dav1deuS departs 9z after two successful years

9z has announced that David "dav1deuS" Tapia Maldonado will no longer start for the team due to the rifler himself deciding to step away from the most successful Spanish-speaking lineup in Latin America.

dav1deuS wrote a heartfelt statement to 9z fans when the news broke saying he is removing himself from the team in order to organize his "life, goals and happiness."

The 23-year-old, who most recently reached the ESL Pro League Season 18 playoffs with 9z, still remains contracted to La Violeta and his replacement will be announced briefly, according to the organization.

dav1deuS is by far the most accomplished CS:GO player hailing from Chile, having reached two Major Challengers stages with 9z: PGL Antwerp and IEM Rio.

He also recently reached the ESL Pro League Season 18 playoffs, where he and his 9z teammates dispatched of Virtus.pro before falling Movistar Riders.

Locally, dav1deuS won the Flow FiReLEAGUE Finals in 2022 and the WESG 2021 Brazil Finals, the former with 9z and the latter with Paquetá.

9z is now:

Uruguay Maximiliano "max" Gonzalez
Uruguay Franco "dgt" Garcia
Argentina Santino "try" Rigal
Argentina Nicolás "buda" Kramer

Brazil Gustavo "tge" Motta (coach)

Chile David "dav1deuS" Tapia Maldonado (benched)

some people don't know, but in Brazil we don't speak Spanish... So basically 9z is the most successful team in Latin America, not considering Brazilian teams

Add to it the fact that 9z weren't allowed to classify to EPL through the common way(through ESL Brazil) bcz some Brazilian TOs are xenophobic AF so they didn't allow people from other countries(even if they are living in Brazil) to play that tournament(Imperial classified to EPL with that tournament), so 9z had to play an open qualifier for a whole day and then a closed qualifier(with Brazilian teams in it) to actually qualify. Literally 9z has always qualified with a lot of odds against them(not only for EPL), they deserve more invites to tournaments tbh(although this is biased xD).

well of course what happened on EPL and BPL was awful and shouldn't happen, honestly, a lot of you deserve for what happened in Blast/FireLeague and you guys not only weren't against it, you guys loved...

Fire league did that once, them admitted Brazilian teams due to the criticism it received. BPL didn't, you people have many tournaments where only Brazilians can participate, otherwise Bestia and 9z would be dominating those tournaments too, just like it's happening in the events they participate. Btw, 2 wrongs don't make 1 right.
