Sweden best in ENC 2010 CS rankings

Electronic Sports League presents the European Nations Championship rankings for the 2010 season.

Prior to the 2010 season the nations rankings have been announced, with Sweden topping the charts. The nations have been ranked based on their performance in previous seasons, all victories have been award with three points, ties with one point and all losses released zero points.

Sweden ranked first for the 2010 season

To weight the latest results higher, ESL weighted the previous three seasons as follows; seasons 2007 with 1/3, 2008 with 2/3 and 2009 with 3/3 of the whole sum.

1.	Sweden	82,50 points
2.	Germany	63,75 points
3.	Poland	59,25 points
4.	Denmark	48,75 points
5.	Norway	37,25 points
6.	France	36,37 points

Top six ranked nations will be directly qualified for the Main Round, while all other teams will have to enter the qualification stage. Teams ranked 7th-37th can be viewed by clicking here. A total of twelve teams will make it to the Main Round of the European Nations Championship 2010.

The great ENC rankings are back! I always loved how they make those rankings...Hungary/Switzerland/Belgium/Bulgaria etc above Ukraine, Italy above Greece/Lithuania/Czech Republic/Romania even tho they NEVER EVER beat anyone in ENC, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg playing, and never showing up, because they can't gather 5 people, not to mention 5 CS players... Everything else is great, but I just don't understand their rankings system.

A Ukraine team has qualified for IEM4 global finals, Polish teams got knocked out of the euro qualifiers by french teams but then AGAIN managed to go due to a Ukraine team dropping out, but AGAIN couldn't even get out of groups at the euro finals oh snap!

Oh yeah great argument. What about Norway, France, Spain or even Netherlands. They don't have great branches and they still can make great results on an international stage. And Ukraine never achieved anything big in national events. Having pretty good organizations doesn't guarantee success.
