Looking4Org qualify for ESL Challenger Jönköping

The Frenchmen recovered from the lower bracket to beat Spirit in the final.

Looking4Org have booked their ticket at ESL Challenger Jönköping despite dropping to the lower bracket on the first day of play.

Bryan "⁠Maka⁠" Canda's squad lost to Spirit in the opening round, but won five best of threes in a row to win the tournament. BIG, Apeks, Aurora, and Movistar Riders were all powerless to defend against a Looking4Org that powered up throughout the tournament.

The grand final of the double-elimination bracket pitted them against Spirit once again, but Looking4Org rose to the occasion in stunning fashion with a convincing 2-0 victory. Ali "⁠hAdji⁠" Haïnouss posted a 1.68 rating in the final, and a 1.22 over the entire event, in a showing that gave Looking4Org the firepower required to deal with Spirit and Danil "⁠donk⁠" Kryshkovets.

Victory in the final completed an arduous run that started in the open qualifier for the unsigned team, an arena that caught out many a favorite.

Favorites falter in ESL's first CS2 qualifier

Attention now turns to the event proper in Jönköping, which will feature the likes of Monte and Virtus.pro and take place during DreamHack Winter, the site of the very first Major in 2013 and of the fourth in 2014.

One more slot will be decided tonight in the North American qualifier. The full team list for the event, which starts on November 24, is:
