hooch parts ways with 1WIN

The 36-year-old leaves the team after eight months of service.

Dmitry "⁠hooch⁠" Bogdanov has announced that the has parted ways with 1win and thanked the team for the eight months they spent together.

hooch elaborated on the reason behind this departure in a comment to HLTV: "We had good results in the last months, but I felt like it's time for a change as a new game comes up," he said.

"With some players on this team we worked together for like three years, and I think it will be better for both sides to have changes. There is no bad blood, it's just sometimes time to go. I'm really thankful to everyone and wish them all the best.

"I decided to look for other opportunities and have a fresh start in Counter-Strike 2, so let's see what the future holds for me."

The 36-year-old had been with 1win since its rebuild in February, when the organization brought in the coach along with two of his long-time teammates, Igor "⁠Forester⁠" Bezotecheskiy and Aleksei "⁠NickelBack⁠" Trofimov, as well as Kirill "⁠Boombl4⁠" Mikhailov.

In that time 1win mostly resided around the top 30 of the world's ranking, clinching their biggest achievements in recent times with wins at the CCT Central Europe Series 7, Online Finals 3, and East Europe Series 2 tournaments in the past two months.

They were however unable to qualify for any big-event appearances, with hooch noting 1win's failure to qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major early on in the team's existence as "sad."
