With the arrival of Counter-Strike 2 came a new weapon loadout system, which puts players in a position where they have to think through their choices, forcing them to pick just five weapons in each category.

This allows for some new combinations but comes at the cost of other options. For example, you can now have both M4s in your loadout, but it leaves only three spots for the Famas, AUG, Scout, AWP, and Autosniper.

While at IEM Sydney HLTV got several professional players to share their weapon preferences. I see no reason to pick over either mp9 or scout if you're holding something like OP long. it's so shit for 2050. I've never been in a spot where I couldn't afford a1s+650 kevlar

Famas is great if you solo anchor choke points like B on dust 2 or con in mirage, thing is aug and m4 just do the same thing much better, and because smgs are too good for their price famas becomes redundant, especially now that you can have both silencer and not silenced m4
