IEM China home team to be decided in LAN qualifier
Four teams will go head-to-head in Shanghai for a spot at the $250,000 Big Event.

Wings Up and Steel Helmet will attend the IEM China closed qualifier on LAN in Shanghai after progressing out of the Chinese open qualifiers. They will be joined there by two top 30 sides in TYLOO and Lynn Vision.
The in-person qualifier will run on November 3-4 and grant one spot at IEM China slated to take place in April 2024. ESL has not yet announced where in China the main event will take place, or whether the closed qualifier is replacing the 'Local Hero' invite traditionally used at IEM events.

Steel Helmet, where ex-TYLOO IGL Ke "captainMo" Liu has been plying his trade since 2021, won over international projects Rare Atom and Wings Up in the first open qualifier.
The squad has recently added another iconic figure from the Chinese scene in the form of Hui "DD" Wu, and the organization will now go to a HLTV-official LAN for only the second time.
Wings Up stood tallest in the second qualifier, meaning that Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson and Dominik "Blogg1s" Janita will make their offline debuts for the Chinese organization. It is the second good result for the Sino-European mix, after they also found success in the ESL Challenger Jönköping Open Qualifier.
Love "phzy" Smidebrant and Kornél "kory" Szedlár's Rare Atom will have to wait, however, after being defeated by Wings Up and Noobs But Diligent respectively in the two open qualifiers.
The final team list is as follows:

IEM Chengdu 2024 China Closed Qualifier
Kornél 'kory' Szedlár
Love 'phzy' Smidebrant
Slaava 'Twista' Räsänen
Andrew 'kaze' Khong

Dominik 'Blogg1s' Janita
