Pimp headlines the eight-person English broadcast team

Elisa Esports have announced the talent lineup for their Masters LAN in Espoo, Finland. The event will run from November 29-December 3, and includes the likes of ENCE and MOUZ.

James "⁠BanKs⁠" Banks, Halvor "⁠vENdetta⁠" Gulestøl, and Teodor "Tedd" Borisov return from last year's list, as do Jamie "⁠EternalJay⁠" Martin and Joshua "⁠Dweg⁠" Nathan as the commentators for arena matches.

MOUZ invited to Elisa Masters Espoo

Joining vENdetta on the desk are HLTV Award Show 2022 host Jasmine "⁠Veracity⁠" Kanuga and experienced pundit Jacob "⁠Pimp⁠" Winneche.

In the English language stream, the final commentator is Neo "Ne0kai" Cain, who will pair with "Tedd" for group stage studio matches.

its always the same duos doing playoffs/finals. just gets boring after so many years. and most of them focus way too much on fake hype and talking about bs rather than actually casting the game. nowadays even with normal ass plays the casters lose their shit for "hype". its so fucking lame.

Fake hype is my biggest gripe about most tier2 casters. So I disagree with you that it's worse with tier1 casters. Hugo and Harry have the best balance in giving hype or having fun depending on the meaning of the match imo. EternalJay is one of the biggest offenders of fake hype I think. Could be real for him but he ends a lot of matches like a team just qualified for the major finals

I think the hype seems genuine enough. Also every match will be hype for someone even if it's just that players lil bro watching it or someone from local scene. Matches don't objectively need to be important to have some hype))

ok but this is esports? listen to LoL casters they actually cast the game from start to end. how many times do casters have to tell us about their breakfast or what happened at the hotel just for their co-caster to interupt with: OOOOOOOOOOOH after the most normal double kill

I think it a nice add to the game if casters chat some shit here and then. Usually it happens in eco rounds when no one gives a shit anyways. It is so dumb to complain about everything

Games like 9ine vs Apeks are basically just a podcast for me. Just on second screen who cars about an eco round between these teams. Rather hear what kind of dream Anders had than have 10/10 commentary for the full 1m:55s. Sure when it gets close comment on it but that 2/10 eco's and tier1 commentators are very good at switching over when it gets good

Yea I don't mind these casters at all, they are good at actually casting the game and not talk so much BS or fake hyping, maybe for some that will be "boring" compared to the style of current T1 casters but yea, they surely know how to cast, that's for sure, I think of WWE casters a bit in the sense they try stay more "serious" as if not it would turn into a shitshow due to how it all is fake / entertainment to begin with.

Elisa are one of my favorite smaller events, kinda sad to see they didnt take the opportunity to use more young and upcoming casters. Happy to see Tedd here, he's got a great vocabulary and original takes.
