9INE is on the hunt for a new in-game leader.

9INE's results have dried up after a strong first half of 2023

Wiktor "⁠mynio⁠" Kruk has been moved out of the active 9INE lineup, leaving the Polish squad without an in-game leader.

The move follows several disappointing results for Poland's No. 1 team, including a last-placed finish at ESL Pro League and, in what proved to be mynio's final match, a group stage exit from Roobet Cup.

9INE rose to prominence after strong online performances in the first half of the year, and qualified for the BLAST.tv Paris Major Legends stage, IEM Cologne, and the aforementioned ESL Pro League Season 18.

Much of that success was borne off the back of an incredibly strong Vertigo, where the Poles had a 38-5 W-L record in the first half of 2023. In the last three months, however, even Vertigo has deserted them as they slumped to a 46.2% win rate on their home map.

"It’s never easy to make such decision," coach Piotr "⁠nawrot⁠" Nawrocki tweeted. "But, going slowly towards the new year and with the goals we’ve set for ourselves, changing our style of play and looking for new solutions is necessary."

it was always finished. Tier 2 at best. Their whole tier 1 standard is built on winning 3 games in the Paris RMR.

I don't think they thought of themselves as tier1, but could have stayed tier 2. But it's actually so joever for them now
