Virtus.pro beat Heroic in postponed Thunderpick World Championship quarter-final

A rematch from Thursday's Roobet Cup grand final against Monte awaits Virtus.pro later on Saturday.

Virtus.pro have secured a place in the Thunderpick World Championship semi-finals after coming out on top of the postponed match against HEROIC.

On Friday, the game had to be temporarily abandoned as HEROIC kept encountering internet issues, after Virtus.pro won Vertigo 13-11 and Overpass reached a 9-7 score in favor of the Danes.

The match was rescheduled to Saturday, and only seven rounds needed to be played to conclude the series, with connectivity issues continuing to plague William "⁠sirah⁠" Kjærsgaard throughout the end of Overpass.

With the economy in their favor after they won the first two gunrounds of the half the day before, Virtus.pro dominated the CT side to come from behind on the second map, courtesy of crucial impact from Dzhami "⁠Jame⁠" Ali and a 1v2 clutch from Evgenii "⁠FL1T⁠" Lebedev.

Moving on to the semi-finals, Virtus.pro will go up against Monte in a rematch from Thursday's Roobet Cup grand final, where the former prevailed after three maps.
