EPS Nordic qualifiers launched

The qualifiers for ESL Pro Series Nordic season two started tonight with the first matches being played.

ESL had chosen four teams that would be invited directly into the main round, while remaining spots would be determined through national qualifiers, last chance qualifiers and the EAS pre-season. The signup period closed at midnight yesterday and today ESL revealed the groups for the national qualifiers.

Denmark

The Danish qualifier sees sixteen teams all trying to get a hold of the one direct spot, which is up for grabs in the qualifier. The teams have been divided into four groups of four teams, where top two finishing teams will advance to the playoffs. The four groups for the Danish qualifier look as follows:

Finland

While a lot teams signed up in the three other qualifiers, Finland managed to get nine teams to sign up (Soltec folded earlier today). This created two groups of four and five teams, once again it is only top two finishing teams that will make it to the playoffs. Just like Denmark, Finland received only one direct spot for the season. The two groups are as follows:

Norway

Just like when the qualifier for Extreme Masters started in Norway, a lot of teams has signed up for the Norwegian qualifier for ESL Pro Series Nordic, forty-seven to be precise. There is just one spot up for grabs and the forty-seven teams have been divided into eight groups, that are composed as follows:

Sweden

Sweden sees thirty participation teams in the qualifier to reach the ESL Pro Series Nordic. In the qualifier there are a total of two spots up for grabs and it will be interesting to see who gets a hold of them, with teams such as MYM, Begrip, Playzone, TEAM ENERIC, storhetsvansinne and more participating. The Swedes fight it out in eight groups, that look as follows:
