FaZe 13-7 MOUZ

MOUZ looked flat compared to FaZe on that map, and FaZe were the team who had to roll almost straight into the grand final after finishing their semi-final match. Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo was the only player offering stiff resistance.

FaZe had far more impact across the board, their individuals all produced impact and highlight-worthy moments when needed. This resulted in a relatively straight-forward win.

FaZe 10-6 MOUZ

FaZe were poised to take full control of this game, sat pretty in a 3v3 with the B bombsite under control, but Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo caught Helvijs "⁠broky⁠" Saukants with his knife out to rescue the round.

Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool responded immediately in the next, working his way onto the A site with a 3k in a man-down scenario, keeping the pressure on MOUZ.

FaZe 7-5 MOUZ

FaZe got off to a strong start by winning the pistol and going 2-0, only to go a little limp as MOUZ racked up a streak of their own.

Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken upped his game to help get FaZe's defense back in order, but a squandered 5v3 in the final round allowed MOUZ to keep things close.

FaZe 2-1 MOUZ

FaZe finally managed to find a decent start to a game, going 2-0 up to kick off their CT side, but Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo just produced an impressive 4k to get his team on the board in their first gun round.

A week of play in Shanghai, China is coming to a close with FaZe taking on MOUZ for the trophy.

These two squads have already played three times in CS2, with FaZe holding a 3-0 advantage. FaZe also have an edge at this tournament, having bested MOUZ in the group stage.

FaZe are the No. 1 team at the moment and favorites to take the trophy, but they only just finished their gruelling semi-final match with ENCE, whereas MOUZ got an extended break. Will that play a factor?

FaZe 13-11 ENCE

FaZe ran a dagger through ENCE's heart in the final round of regulation on Anubis by winning nine out of ten rounds on the attacking side of the decider map.

The IEM Sydney champions will now have a chance at becoming back-to-back champions in CS2 as they take on MOUZ in the CAC grand final.

FaZe 10-10 ENCE

FaZe have won six straight and are flush with cash as they take the Anubis T side by storm. ENCE, meanwhile, are burning through timeouts trying to find how to stop Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen and company.

FaZe 4-9 ENCE

ENCE's stand-in, Vladan "⁠VLDN⁠" Radević, posted a clutch of his own in the second pistol round of Anubis, taking out Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard and Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen with dualies before defusing the bomb to keep his team firmly in the lead.

FaZe 4-8 ENCE

Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen didn't make it beautiful, but it was effective, as he got one kill after blinding himself and then stuck a defuse to win the last round of the half for his team.

FaZe 3-6 ENCE

FaZe were chasing ENCE down to tie things up in the eighth round, but a 1vs1 clutch by Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz against Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool in a post-plant situation kept his team ahead by two. FaZe then tried to forcebuy, but were denied.

FaZe 0-1 ENCE

FaZe blundered a 1vs3 giving Álvaro "⁠SunPayus⁠" García, who got the two opening frags of the first round of Anubis, the chance to win an ace clutch to get ENCE on the board first.

FaZe 16-14 ENCE

FaZe pulled a rabbit out of a hat and through sheer grit, determination, and Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool's ability late in the map, have pushed the series to a third map with an overtime victory on Ancient.

Up next is the decider, Anubis.

FaZe 12-14 ENCE

Pavle "⁠Maden⁠" Bošković defused the bomb with barely any time left of the counter after flanking Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool and taking out the last T defending the package, Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen, and pushed his team to lead by two after as many rounds of overtime.

FaZe 12-13 ENCE

FaZe brought Ancient all the way to overtime with very strong plays from Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool, gaining map control and finding crucial kills, but ENCE got right back to winning ways the second the OT counter started. Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen and company then went through their last overtime to find a way to crack their foes' defenses.

FaZe 11-12 ENCE

FaZe staved off elimination in a 1vs1 situation from Helvijs "⁠broky⁠" Saukants, who was able to take down a rushing Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz out with an AWP no-scope to keep the series going.

FaZe 6-9 ENCE

ENCE lost the second pistol round, opening the door for FaZe to retake their lead, but three SMG kills by Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz flying down Mid gave his team the forcebuy and kept them firmly ahead.

FaZe 4-5 ENCE

ENCE have stabilized on the attack and are starting to find the chinks in FaZe's armor, bringing a 4-1 start to 4-5, maiming the CT side's economy while building their own.

FaZe 4-1 ENCE

FaZe won the first pistol round on the CT side of Ancient and although they fell to ENCE's forcebuy, Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen and his men held strong to win the two following rounds and a third against pistols to start off the map on the right foot.

FaZe 8-13 ENCE

ENCE, the underdogs, have secured FaZe's map pick in their semifinal bout. In-game leader Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer, with 21 kills, stepped up for his team not only in his calling but also in the fragging department.

Up next in the series will be ENCE's map pick of Ancient.

FaZe 6-12 ENCE

Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer stepped up with three kills in a 2vs5 situation, but Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen won a 1vs2 situation against Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz and his counterpart on ENCE to keep FaZe's comeback dream alive.

FaZe 11-4 FaZe

ENCE recovered from losing the second pistol round and won the forcebuy. Sadly for [t,faze, Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken's computer froze momentarily and he was killed while unresponsive. Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz and company then won the following round against pistols to get within one of map point.

ENCE 9-3 FaZe

Pavle "⁠Maden⁠" Bošković had an unfortunate moment in the final round of the half, as he disconnected due to a technical issue in a 3vs3 situation which FaZe then won to make it 9-3 at the switch.

FaZe 1-7 FaZe

ENCE have successfully established a strong defensive side with Álvaro "⁠SunPayus⁠" García's AWP singing early on. Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer and his men forced FaZe to take two timeouts by the ninth round.

FaZe 0-1 ENCE

The second semifinal has now kicked off on FaZe's map pick of Nuke. It's ENCE, however, who won the first pistol round off the back of a triple by Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz.

ENCE picked Ancient as their home map, and if necessary the series will head over to Anubis for the decider.

Following MOUZ's semifinal victory over Astralis, it is now turn for the second semifinal of the day to take place. It will pit the first CS:GO Big Event champions, FaZe, up against ENCE, who are playing the event in China with Vladan "⁠VLDN⁠" Radević as a stand-in for Paweł "⁠dycha⁠" Dycha.

FaZe, who have shown fine form and are favorites to take the series, made it out of the group stage undefeated and will play in front of the Shanghainese crowd for the first time. ENCE, on the other hand, will return to the stage after taking out Ninjas in Pyjamas in the quarter-finals.

MOUZ 13-7 Astralis

MOUZ laid down the law on the attacking side of Vertigo, but were made to work for their victory in the end on the CT side as Astralis tallied seven in a row when down 0-12.

It was Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo, MOUZ's hero on Vertigo, with 22 kills by the end of 20 rounds, who won a 1vs2 clutch against Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz and Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer on the A site to close things out.

MOUZ 12-1 Astralis

Astralis won the second pistol round on Vertigo, this time on the attack, to make sure they were not brought down in the decider map without a single round.

MOUZ 9-0 Astralis

Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo is continuing to bring down the hammer on Astralis with 15 kills and no deaths as MOUZ are stacking up the rounds on the attacking side of Vertigo, inching closer and closer to securing a spot in the grand final.

MOUZ 5-0 Astralis

MOUZ blasted onto the B site of Vertigo in the fifth round and Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo pulled through for his team with two crucial frags around a smoke, hitting a personal 10-0 scoreline, as Astralis' two remaining players fell back to save.

MOUZ 1-0 Astralis

Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman took four Astralis players down to kick off Vertigo, giving MOUZ the early lead on the attack.

MOUZ 3-13 Astralis

Astralis made their dominant CT side count, closing out MOUZ's Mirage pick with four consecutive attacks to end the map one-sidedly. Up next will be Vertigo for all of the marbles.

MOUZ 3-10 Astralis

Astralis have a massive lead and all of the advantages as they hit double digits in the first round of the second half of Mirage. They are now close to stealing MOUZ's map pick to send the series to the Vertigo decider.

MOUZ 3-7 Astralis

Astralis have secured having a lead on the scoreboard at the half with two rounds still to be played, 3-7, as MOUZ have failed to find impact after the clutches early in the half.

MOUZ 3-2 Astralis

Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz and Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman were entangled in a long 1vs1 situation, playing mind games with each other around the different avenues to the A site. In the end, it was the Israeli rifler who came out on top after planting the bomb.

Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo then won a 1vs2 clutch of his own in the fourth round before MOUZ established a one-round lead by the fifth.

MOUZ 0-2 Astralis

The match between Astralis and MOUZ is underway again on the second map, Mirage, with the Danes securing the first pistol round with a strong B defense and the ensuing anti-eco.

MOUZ 13-10 Astralis

David "⁠frozen⁠" Čerňanský, with 27 kills and 122 ADR (2.13 rating), was the standout player for MOUZ as they secured Astralis' Overpass map pick.

The Slovakian rifler was the one to put the final nail in the Danish team's coffin with a triple to open up and secure the B site in what ended up being the final round of the half.

MOUZ now head to their map pick of Mirage in a comfortable position, as they hold a 1-0 lead in the series.

MOUZ 12-9 Astralis

Astralis have put themselves within striking distance of MOUZ 9-12. Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz and Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer both had big three-kill rounds to get their side back on track and then locked down an A hit with doubles.

MOUZ 10-5 Astralis

Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman and David "⁠frozen⁠" Čerňanský stopped early aggression in the 15th round after MOUZ lost the pistol and eco to tally their first of the second half and hit double digits.

MOUZ 9-3 Astralis

Astralis got a third round on the board courtesy of a 1vs1 clutch by Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz in a post-plant situation, but ended far behind after another Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo triple on the B site closed out the first half 9-3 for MOUZ.

MOUZ 7-2 Astralis

Astralis tried to break the B site once again, relying on Christian "⁠Buzz⁠" Andersen's opening kills. He got the best of Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman, but a triple by Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo playing around a smoke closed the site down for MOUZ, who are now leading by five.

MOUZ 5-2 Astralis

Astralis are trying to settle into a slow and methodical style, but it was Christian "⁠Buzz⁠" Andersen's clean double-entry on the B site that got the Danes their second round.

MOUZ 4-1 Astralis

Aggressive plays by Ádám "⁠torzsi⁠" Torzsás and Kamil "⁠siuhy⁠" Szkaradek against a defensive default failed to make an impact as Astralis went up 5vs3 early on and converted the round to tally their first on the scoreboard.

MOUZ 3-0 Astralis

MOUZ made it 3-0 with a 2vs4 by David "⁠frozen⁠" Čerňanský and Ádám "⁠torzsi⁠" Torzsás on the A site, as Astralis threw away a superiority given by Christian "⁠Buzz⁠" Andersen downing two players pushing from the B site.

MOUZ 2-0 Astralis

MOUZ have drawn first blood on Overpass, stopping a B hit in the pistol round and denying Astralis a plant. The European combine then got the 2-0 start against a full eco.

Astralis and MOUZ have walked out and taken their seats on the stage, ready to get the show on the road. The veto is in and the maps to be played are Overpass, Mirage, and if needed, Vertigo.

Only three matches are left before a CS Asia Championships winner is crowned from the four teams left in the running.

Astralis and MOUZ are set to face each other on one side of the bracket at 05:00 , while FaZe and ENCE will battle it out for the other spot in the grand final at 08:00 .

This will be the first playoff matches for both Astralis and FaZe, who made it straight through to the semis from the group stage, whereas MOUZ and ENCE already had a taste of play on stage in Shanghai with quarter-finals victories over Lynn Vision and Ninjas in Pyjamas, respectively.
