3DMAX return to Counter-Strike with Looking4Org roster

The French organization last fielded a Counter-Strike roster in 2019.

French esports organization 3DMAX has announced its return to Counter-Strike esports with the signing of Looking4Org, who are sitting just inside the top 30 in the world rankings. The team will make its first appearance under the new banner at ESL Challenger Jönköping, later this week.

The announcement brings an end to a long-running saga that began in May, when HEET's players parted ways with the organization amid reported financial troubles and created their own project while they looked for a new home.

During the six months that followed, the team managed to remain competitive, yo-yoing in and out of the top 30 in the rankings. Last month, their hopes of finding a new organization were handed a major boost when they beat Spirit to qualify for ESL Challenger Jönköping, their first LAN event of the year.

3DMAX were a regular presence in the CS:GO scene between 2012 and 2019, supporting not only French projects but also teams from countries like Denmark, Germany and Slovakia. The organization attended EMS One Katowice 2014 with a Danish team featuring Lukas "⁠gla1ve⁠" Rossander and Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen, and ESL One Katowice 2015 with a Finnish roster captained by Joona "⁠natu⁠" Leppänen.

3DMAX exited the CS:GO scene in March 2019, when the players left the organization due to a series of broken promises. That team featured Bryan "⁠Maka⁠" Canda and Ali "⁠hAdji⁠" Haïnouss, who are now returning to 3DMAX for a second stint.

"We have been working for months to get back into CS," 3DMAX said in a statement. "Based on our history, that was an obvious move, but we needed to do it right."

"Everyone worked really hard to make it happen, and we will do our best to make our fans proud. We are back to where it all started. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey, and we've got plenty more exciting news to come."

3DMAX, who will face Virtus.pro in their first match in Jönköping on November 24, have the following roster:
