electroNic: "I'm probably not that good with IGLing. The problem is that I'm super emotional"

The Russian spoke about the impact of Kirill "⁠Boombl4⁠" Mikhailov's arrival and how it has affected the team dynamic in Cloud9.

In their LAN debut with Boombl4 as their newest addition at the BLAST Premier Fall Final, Cloud9 faced off against their core's former organization, Natus Vincere, and came away victorious after a closely contested series.

Following the match, Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov gave an interview to HLTV talking about how Boombl4's arrival has changed the dynamic and atmosphere in the team and why he feels he wasn't good enough to be an in-game leader.

Tell me about this match. Obviously there's a lot of history between you and NAVI. Does it have special meaning for you?

Of course. It was a special match for us because I was playing for NAVI for like almost six years. Perfecto did it also, Boombl4 played there also, so yeah, there's a big story around this match.

First of all, we're just happy that we won this match. It was a really tough match, we made a lot of mistakes in some rounds.

How did you make the comeback happen on the first map?

I wouldn't say it was something like a comeback. It's kinda hard to play as CT on Anubis, so we were just trying to fix the mistakes that we made. We are pretty confident in our Anubis, also, so that's why.

On Ancient it was the CT side where you couldn't close it out. It seemed straightforward up until that point. What was the problem there?

I don't know, we just made a lot of mistakes, crucial mistakes, and that's why the score was like this. I felt like we gave up a lot of rounds.

You have Boombl4 back and have played a couple of tournaments with him now. Can you tell me about how the dynamic works between you two? When I spoke to him he said there's a stricter setup where Boombl4 is the first leader, you the secondary, and the rest doesn't have as much of a voice as it used to be.

It works the same like it was in NAVI. I'm the second caller, I'm trying to help him out in-game with some strats, some ideas. I'm happy that he's with us now, I have nothing to say more about this, I'm just happy that he's with us and I think he just proved in 1WIN that he's capable to be there.

What is the difference with him now being on the roster compared to the previous version of Cloud9? You were struggling a lot, there was a lot of hype behind the team, but the results weren't there. Do you feel like now some of the issues from the previous team are being improved?

I think the mood in the team is a bit better right now than it was in the old roster. I'm probably not that good with IGLing, to be a captain in the team, probably not, I don't know. The problem was that I'm super emotional, and it's hard for me to be an IGL. When I saw something was going wrong on the map, I could rage, so probably I was not good enough.
