Spinx stars as Vitality beat Heroic at Fall Final
William "mezii" Merriman and Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam got off to winning starts in Vitality.

Vitality started their BLAST Fall Final campaign with a 2-0 victory against a makeshift HEROIC squad (Nuke 13-6, Inferno 13-9).
There was considerable talk about Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut's decline in performance in CS2 ahead of the game. Despite the concerns, the French superstar maintained a solid 1.18 rating across the series. He was no match for Lotan "Spinx" Giladi, however, with the Israeli putting up a spectacular 2.00 rating on Nuke and topping the board on Inferno with 21 kills.
ZywOo joined James "BanKs" Banks for a post-match interview and admitted his team couldn't do much preparation for HEROIC. "We just focused on our game like always, we didn't want to overthink things because there are a lot of new things for us too," he said.
When asked about the recent additions of XTQZZZ and mezii, he was adamant that not a lot is set to change for the Vitality camp. "We will try to put them inside the new system, but obviously something will change. 90% of us will not change, we know it's working and what we're capable of."
Vitality now awaits the winner of Complexity vs. Astralis, while HEROIC will face off against the loser of that game for a playoff spot in Copenhagen.

Nuke kicked off the series, where HEROIC started on the offensive side. While the Danish side showed some classic HEROIC teamplay we are used to seeing from them, Spinx proved too much to handle. The Israeli rifler put up 19 kills and 115 ADR on the defensive side, which was enough for Vitality to go 9-3 up into the second half.
HEROIC won their second pistol to give themselves a chance of a comeback, but Spinx's reign of terror continued as he found a crisp double kill in the first gun round that returned the momentum to Vitality, who eventually cruised to a 13-6 victory.
Inferno was a much closer affair, as HEROIC got off to a quick 5-1 start on their defensive side. After a few rounds, Vitality got warmed up, and the fragging duo of Spinx and ZywOo powered a six-round streak that put them two ahead at the switch. The scores remained close until 9-9, when HEROIC's T side ran out of steam and hit a wall against Vitality, who closed out a 13-9 win to secure a playoff spot at the BLAST Fall Final.
