ENC confirms five offline events

The Electronic Sports League has announced that the 2010 edition of the European Nations Championship will have five LAN events.

The first ENC offline event will take place at Gamers Assembly, one of the most famous LAN events in France, which will run from April 3-5 in Poitiers.

This is the first time in the history of the competition that it will have more than one LAN event, an improvement made possible after the ESL tied up a sponsorship deal with Taiwan-based company Asus.

The other four offline events will be held in Germany, Austria, Scandinavia and the Netherlands, with the dates and location yet to be announced.

The 2010 ENC season, which will officially kick off next Monday, will feature a total prize purse of €120,000.

I don't like it, some nations will be favored as always. If this means that some matches will be played offline and most of them online, I guess Sweden, Germany and teams like that will always play offline, while Russia, Belarus, Lithuania etc will play matches online with 50+ ping (if they qualify).

+1 and going further, i'll use 20.000 of that 120k for the teams, not all of them can afford the travel.
