gla1ve's side recovered from a poor start to the tournament and spoiled fnatic's debut.
ENCE have recovered from a sloppy start to their Elisa Masters Espoo campaign by seeing to the elimination of fnatic in a 2-1 series, recovering from a dismal showing on Anubis with one-sided victories on Vertigo and Overpass.
Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro had pointed towards the benefits that playing officials with the new roster would give fnatic ahead of the PGL Copenhagen Major qualifier cycle, so they will lament the early exit from the event as they recorded just four official maps in their event run.
ENCE, meanwhile, have given themselves a second lease on life after getting battering by HAVU 6-13 in their opening game. The match had marked a poor debut with the team for Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, but his calling here showed more of what was expected from him despite limited practice.
They still have a group decider against GamerLegion separating them from a spot in the playoffs, but that match is set to be played in front of a crowd, with ENCE likely to have a good deal of support despite their lack of Finnish players.

ENCE had control early on Anubis, a pistol win and subsequent conversions putting them up 3-0. That was really the only time they looked comfortable on the map, however, and fnatic quickly had them on the back foot as they ran away with a 7-5 lead at the half before closing out their pick, 13-7.
A lackluster offensive half on the most T-sided map in the pool combined with a disastrous 1-15 K-D from gla1ve didn't inspire a ton of confidence heading into Vertigo, but the Danish captain did an about-face on both ends.
gla1ve led by example with a 1.98 rating and 18-5 K-D as ENCE completely dominated Vertigo, mustering ten T side rounds and crushing fnatic 13-2 to force an Overpass decider.
A few squandered 5v3 advantages on the final map showed that ENCE still have some growing pains to go through, but overall, they continued to pick fnatic apart to close the series in dominant fashion.
Pavle "Maden" Bošković deserves some credit for his stellar consistency and impact throughout the series, as does Guy "NertZ" Iluz: the pair finished with 1.51 and 1.41 ratings, respectively, to put ENCE through to the Group A decider.
