Live updates from Elisa Masters grand final
Apeks and FURIA fight it out for the title and $100,000 grand prize in Espoo, Finland.
After securing a long-awaited international LAN trophy, Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato took some time out for a quick interview with HLTV.
On his feelings after the win: I feel so good bro, it’s so good to have this feeling, it’s been a while as I said yesterday! It was great, I have no words to describe it. Our team was on point at every point, communication, aim, everything. I’m kinda tired (smiles) but we gave 100%.
On whether this proves the team are moving in the right direction: Of course. I believe in this team, it’s the team that I love and the team that I give up everything in my life for, and I will do my best to keep them at the top for sure. I’m happy here.
On if he feels justified choosing FURIA over Liquid: Yeah, it’s just the beginning right? It’s a new team, it’s our first final together, so I think we can do more. We have the next tournament to play, which will be in Dubai, and the weather is way better than here for Brazilians (laughs). I think we’re gonna keep this streak.

"Thank you Finland for the amazing support, it's awesome to be here. Our second trophy here," FURIA's coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira said after lifting his second trophy in the Nordic country, the last being the Arctic Invitational in 2019. "Finland loves us and we love Finland."
The Brazilian coach then spoke about the additions of Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes. "When [they] joined FURIA we had a lot of expectations in us and we're here working very hard to lift the trophy. Thank you everybody," he concluded. "It's just the beginning."
The Brazilian side has done it! FURIA are the Elisa Espoo Masters champions after beating Apeks 3-1 in the grand final. Three map picks were stolen until Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and company managed to pull through on Mirage, their second pick, to bring proceedings to a close without needing to go to Overpass.
Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato was his team's beating heart on Mirage with 21 kills and 100 ADR, while Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes has become an international LAN champion for the first time in his career.
This is the Brazilian side's first international LAN trophy since 2019, when they won the Arctic Invitational, also in Finland.

FURIA forced Apeks to take their final timeout having brought the score to 9-9 in the home stretch, but to no avail as the Brazilians continue to rack up the rounds against a team running out of ideas on the attack.
Apeks won the pistol round on the attack and followed it up against a forcebuy and full buy to go up 9-6, but FURIA held strong on the B site with a hero AK on Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato and pistols to keep the game competitive.
Apeks made it six apiece after the first twelve rounds of play on Mirage, bringing a lackluster defensive start to a close finish at the switch by winning five of the last six rounds as FURIA failed to make a large dent that would secure some breathing room going into the CT side.
FURIA drew first blood on the attacking side of Mirage, their second map pick, where they hope to bring the series to a close and lift the Elisa Masters trophy. It would be their first international LAN silverware since the Arctic Invitational in 2019, which was also coincidentally hosted in Finland.
Apeks didn't let a pistol loss bring them down and won the first gun round, however, bringing an 0-2 deficit to within one, but were then overtaken by a well-timed B hit from the Brazilians.
The Brazilian squad has once again taken the advantage in the series, 2-1. Of the three maps played, they all went to the team that did not pick them. If FURIA can break that streak on their second pick, Mirage, it is in their hands to close out the series 3-1 to avoid going to the Overpass decider and lift the trophy.

FURIA were putting forth a strong showing on the CT side of Vertigo, having given up but a single round out of six as they marched closer and closer to match point while Apeks struggled to find an opening. The European squad then pulled off a 2vs4 bomb defense as Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo plunged off the side of the skyscraper.
Apeks are ahead at the half in large part thanks to Tim "nawwk" Jonasson, who got four Desert Eagle kills on a pistol buy including three to neutralize a Ramp hit by FURIA. Up 6-5, Apeks then had plenty of an economy to buy and win out to lead by two at the switch.
