Live updates from BetBoom Dacha day 1
The first day of the BetBoom Dacha group stage begins in Dubai with two Group A matches.
Brazilian broadcast rights for top-tier Counter-Strike events have often been awarded to Alexandre "gAuLeS" Chiqueta and his team since 2018, but that isn't the case for BetBoom Dacha.
The organizer for the Dubai, UAE-based event instead awarded those rights to BTS Brasil, whose CEO Fabio "Shaolin" Madia, stated to Dust.br that the studio received the opportunity to hold the event after a year and a half working with BetBoom on Dota 2 competitions.
gAuLeS tried to circumvent his lack of rights to the broadcast by setting up a page on his website where the event's stream was embedded on one side, and his stream and chat were embedded on the other. After the first map of MIBR vs. BetBoom ended, the measure was abandoned, and the Brazilian streamer promoted the official broadcast in his chat and watched the HLTV scorebot page instead.
The BTS broadcast is done in a studio in São Paulo and features eight talent members on-site. gAuLeS' regular, "bedroom" broadcast style appeals to a different audience, something acknowledged by the BTS CEO.
"What will speak is the product you are delivering," he said to Dust2.br. "If it's a good product, there will be people consuming it, if it's bad, regardless of whether it's exclusive or not, no one will watch it. There are audiences who don't want to consume a normal, traditional broadcast, professional, whatever adjectives you want to use.
"I understand the fact that this happens, that people complain in the chat, is a lack of information. It's believing what people A, B or C say. I believe it doesn't even come from Gaules, since in this case we are talking about his fans. It's normal for them to come to our chat, it even happens in CCT championships, when we release the signal. It's cool to see that there is this emotion, there is potential if we can work on it."

Another 2vs4 fumble in a pistol round proved to be the final nail in the BetBoom coffin, as the Russian squad showed nothing in their BetBoom Dacha opener and only won six rounds across two maps.

Not much to report in terms of gameplay. Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov is the only BetBoom member to provide any sort of resistance, but even his efforts are proving futile. One T round is all they have to show for their efforts.
BetBoom finally broke their duck after nine rounds and posted their first round with an upper-site attack. They have a long way to go to come back but this is a start.
MIBR have started on the CT side of Nuke and are dominating proceedings once again. They are currently 4-0 up and look good value for a quick 2-0.
BetBoom put together a three-round streak to make the scoreline somewhat respectable, but they never had a chance on Ancient. The Brazilians have comfortably secured their map pick with a 13-5 scoreline, and the series now moves on to Nuke.
This looks similarly one-sided to our first series of the day. MIBR are outmaneuvering and outshooting their opponents to secure the half with a 10-2 scoreline. "it's just an absolute mess," says Adam "Dinko" Hawthorne about the game so far.
BetBoom look upset on the player cams, and it doesn't look like they have much to give on Ancient.
MIBR have dominated early proceedings on Ancient as BetBoom got a grand total of six kills in four rounds. The Russian squad is playing proactively but their pushes haven't worked out so far, but they are up to a full buy in the next.
We might finally get started soon. The teams are on the stage, pre-match talk is out of the way, and the veto has just been announced.
We're starting on MIBR's pick of Ancient, with Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov and company opting for Nuke. Mirage is the decider if we need three maps to decide the victor.
