Official: cadiaN joins Liquid

The Dane will take over sniping and leadership duties for the Dutch organization's new roster.

cadiaN is the penultimate piece in Liquid's roster revamp

Liquid have announced the addition of Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller, adding the 28-year-old Dane as the third piece of their roster rebuild after Felipe "⁠skullz⁠" Medeiros and Wilton "⁠zews⁠" Prado were announced earlier in the week.

NAF extends contract: "Liquid is taking the correct steps to build our team back to the top"

The former HEROIC captain was first rumored to be an option for Liquid by Aleksei "⁠OverDrive⁠" Birukov, with a later report by Dust2.us indicating a verbal agreement had been reached between the Dane and the organization.

The same report stated that Liquid would bring Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken back into the fold, with the Canadian rifler expected to be announced as the final piece of the organization's roster rebuild for 2024.

cadiaN's addition will solve two key issues for Liquid, the most important being their lack of a proper in-game leader. The Dutch organization lost Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella in the summer and the team have been struggling to find a solution since.

Mareks "⁠YEKINDAR⁠" Gaļinskis assumed captaincy duties and the roster pivoted to a European lineup after the tournament break, but both changes failed to pay off and the team's results plunged downward.

The Dane's addition will also fill the AWPing void left by Josh "⁠oSee⁠" Ohm's benching, with the American sniper averaging a meager 1.06 rating during his time with Liquid.

cadiaN mustered a 1.09 rating in his four years with HEROIC, during which he led the team to title victories at BLAST Fall Final 2022, BLAST Spring Final 2023, and a handful of online events during the pandemic including ESL Pro League Season 13.

cadiaN: "I had three offers from teams that I could win with"

Liquid will hope that the addition of the winning Danish captain, and their overhaul as a whole, can finally break their offline title duck that dates back to IEM Chicago 2019.

yekindar has a strong opinion of how to play his way, so much so that he took the IGL role before. Cadians had a pretty unique style, who knows if they will mesh.
