Lekr0 joins IKLA: "I want to show that 30 isn't old"

The Swede is ready to get back on the horse after a year and a half without an organization.

Lekr0 says he wants to prove his age doesn't matter

IKLA have announced the addition of Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson to their Counter-Strike roster. The Swede joins the team following November's departures of William "⁠draken⁠" Sundin and Zoran "⁠xicoz⁠" Markovski.

Well-known for his time as part of GODSENT, fnatic, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Dignitas, Lekr0 has not played in a long-term project since mid-2022 when the Dignitas team broke apart in the aftermath of the organization stepping back from CS:GO.

The last year and a half has seen the 30-year-old trudge along with several mix teams such as Unluko5 and Project G that did not work out, but now he is back on the horse and says he wants to show he still has plenty to bring to the table.

"I’m really happy to be back, I’ve been grinding hard since Dignitas and I want to prove that my age doesn't matter and show that 30 isn't old," Lekr0 has told HLTV.

"After playing a few praccs and a game with IKLA I noticed the guys are really good and there is a lot of potential, so I think for the future we're gonna see even more!"

The Swede joins IKLA with the hopes of helping the team recover from a poor run of form and at a time when they are still down one man following the departure of draken. They have been seen playing with Entropiq's AWPer, David "⁠forsyy⁠" Bílý, but HLTV understands that the Czech is only standing in for IKLA for the time being.

30yrs old is not too late to be star in t1 cs. However most 30 yrs have more priorities which takes away from cs time. Girlfriend, wife, kids even. If you cant dedicate 100% to CS nowadays you will always be second. That is why so many russian teenagers are cracked at cs, they have nothing else

Look I think he still has the aim, I still believe he can be very good, and I think it's a great signing from IKLA, if they can get a decent AWPer and maybe swap out MICHU for someone, all of a sudden you have a decent Tier2 roster. GL boys.
